Ossydave Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 If someone does come forward they'll have the backing of every man and his dog regardless of who they are, its not possible to get any worse than it is now!
Drover Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 If someone does come forward they'll have the backing of every man and his dog regardless of who they are, its not possible to get any worse than it is now! True, I don't think a new owner could dream of a better start popularity-wise than coming into rovers at this current time
Ralfinho Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 just a shame they couldnt come forward today or yesterday in time for those going to Chelsea on Sunday to get banners made like xxxxx(company) S.O.S etc etc

pick32 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 could it be Billionaire Canadian Lawrence Tanenbaum who is interested in buying Notts Forest?
Bluemonday BRFC Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Lets make one thing clear... We NEED to back this bid as fans 100%! As soon as the bid becomes public we MUST launch a fans frenzy to pile additional pressure on Wankys. Does anyone have any suggestions which all fans can follow to make a kind of trend? And gain additional publicity? Something every football fan could do as a gesture?
davulsukur Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 could it be Billionaire Canadian Lawrence Tanenbaum who is interested in buying Notts Forest? He'll do
Ralfinho Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 how about the action group and any other parties to make statements, even Jack Straw and the MP guy Graham Jones
Hughesy Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Very doubtful about that. Question... Who wanted to get rid of Rovers? Fred? Who will have been the main benefactor when Fred passed away last month?
Craigman Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 09 May 2012 08:52:24 South African billionaire Johann Rupert has reportedly teamed up with the owner of NFL team Miami Dolphins as he prepares a potential bid for Blackburn Rovers. With a fortune of £1.65billion surely can only be a good move for the club?. Saw this on the Rovers rumour page a couple of days ago ? Possible ?
koi Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Question... Who wanted to get rid of Rovers? Fred? Who will have been the main benefactor when Fred passed away last month? Fred had nothing to do with Rovers in the first place. Had Battersby and the other one actually said they're interested yet? If not then that would be my guess.

"Described as "reclusive" by the Financial Times and Barron's, Rupert rarely gives interviews and shuns public events" Sounds like he's part of the Rao family source My link

I wouldn't turn it down In all seriousness, I will not get excited about any takeover until it happens.

broadsword Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Has he made his money from building mud huts: yes/no? Has he made his money from chickens? yes/no

davulsukur Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Problem is that Venkys still have to want to sell. They have just declared their "love" for Rovers and said that the club is not for sale. On top of that, we are now debt free (allegedly) but the value of Rovers will be significantly less now we are a championship club meaning Venkys will have to take accept a big loss from the cash they paid for the club along with the supposed cash used to clear the debt. (Most likely from player sales to be fair and not from their back pocket) Chuck in the fact that we have just been relegated and them walking away makes it look even more like a failure on their part and i would say them selling is very unlikely unless someone is willing to pay over the odds to buy us.
jim mk2 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Corner-shop owner will tomorrow be revealed as the potential saviour of BRFC.
