T4E Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 I think you've misunderstood. Khan has approached Battersby & Currie with their Seneca Partners to join as a consortium. I dont think this has anything to do with fan's bid by Wayne Wild. No, I haven't misunderstood at all. I'm well aware they are two different factions - what I'm saying is they should become one - all resources pooled for the benefit of the club.

Jarvefromossy Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 98% yes at the moment The Dingles are not up yet - once they've had a literate member of the family read about it to them I expect the result to change!

If the fan cash can help in any way wrestle the club back from these clowns, I'm all for it.
Paul Mellelieu Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 This puts more pressure on Kean and Venkys because it shows that there are real alternatives to their ownership.
Mercer Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 The Dingles are not up yet - once they've had a literate member of the family read about it to them I expect the result to change! Looks like they are begining to get up - 'No' has increased to 5%.
Sverre Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 https://twitter.com/#!/Northern_Rover/media/slideshow?url=pic.twitter.com%2FfASUQfy8 Northern Rover @Northern_Rover Ok potential buyer is Ilyas Khan. He has put together a consortium to buy the club. Ilyas saved Accy Stanley and resigned as chairman last Week. Full details in this morning's LT. I will go into detail in a special brfcs podcast which we will record this morning. This is a Viable group, who would stabilise the club and run it properly.
Mercer Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 WTF is all this about : Rover23@Rover23 @mrwawild @MikeyDelap Perhaps not as good as first thought then Wayne? Wayne Wild@mrwawild @MikeyDelap Guess how this man was "invited" to the home of Mrs Desai ? The other man in the room was JEROME ANDERSON. Today's motive is ? Hope we are not going to see an outbreak of self interest agendas.
bob fleming Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Looks like they are begining to get up - 'No' has increased to 5%. Well they will all have the same body clock. The poll will be sabotaged. For clarity's sake we should do our own poll on here i think. We all know what the outcome will be but then at least this way we can counteract any "opinion was divided" claims that may surface with something a little more factual, I.e. most members / voters here are of course Rovers fans. Not burnley or PNE etc having a giggle.

thenodrog Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Great fun reading this thread. Nobody has guessed correctly. I'm having great fun reading it too, but for different reasons. Your post roughly translated is either... An infantile "I know something you don't nah nah nah nah na". Last heard in the school playground. OR "Damn! I've no idea who this is but for the sake of the image I project I'd better pretend I do." Philip you just can't resist. You certainly don't help yourself do you?
Mercer Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 For the thick amongst us.......what does this translate to regarding Ilyas Khan? No, I suspect this relates to when the two Ian's went to see Desai back in October. Thought it might start getting a bit tasty : Wayne Wild@mrwawild Yet BRFC at heart ? Went to India with JA ? Connection ? BRSIT 100% transparent and only wants the best for the club. Vultures are circling. Time for people to come clean.

Today's motive is ? Hope we are not going to see an outbreak of self interest agendas. Looks that way. For heavens sake. How else was Battersby going to get an audience in front of Desai? Send a letter? Maybe an email? Go through the club? Ask Kean to arrange it? Perhaps turn up uninvited? This was the only route in I'd suggest and while it doesnt look good it doesn't necessarily mean Battersby is in league with the devil does it? He's a life long fan isnt he? How does it go again, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer?"

thenodrog Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 98% yes at the moment So thats a pilot from Burnley plus Kean plus Braddock.
Backroom Tom Posted May 12, 2012 Backroom Posted May 12, 2012 Oh dear if BRIST just want whats best for the club, that may well be this new consortium it seems totally wrong to try and discredit it straight away and makes the trust look a bit bad by doing so IMO. Poor form

Vultures are circling. Time for people to come clean. Expect a lot of this in the near future. I personally found it hard to trust BRSIT, mainly based on the lack of financing. We are already seeing Wild slagging of someone who could save the club from the oiks, I thought this guy was a fan? surely whats best for the club is best for him (even if it means he cant be the CEO)

Poor form +1 You'd think they'd be trying to work together !
BigAlan Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Why is Wild bad mouthing Battersby? Talk about own agendas.
Backroom Tom Posted May 12, 2012 Backroom Posted May 12, 2012 Why is Wild bad mouthing Battersby? Talk about own agendas. There must be more to it and maybe he has a point and reasoning to it but to come out like this makes him and the trust look unprofessional and his role in it a bit iffy to me
thenodrog Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 I don't think it is all that important. It's been well reported that Ian Battersby has dealings with Jerome Anderson. One is a players agent whilst the other specialises in investing the money of sports people. I'd imagine Battersby will have had dealings with lots of agents. BUT if it were me I'd keep my powder dry and my hand on my ha'penny and do everything possible to shove the club into administration / receivership and wait to deal with the receivers. Pick the lot up for an absolute song then.

Perhaps that was their original idea but venkys hve preempted it with the removal of their banking to India

Thought they were incredulous and without substance but I am starting to wonder.
