Guest Wen Y Hu Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 We have had this request from Tom Reynolds of The Green Soccer Journal. Please contact him directly as per below. The Green Soccer Journal is an independent, international football magazine. We are trying to acquire some of the homemade protest banners that are used during matches for an editorial piece in the next issue. These banners are seen in the media and really show how the fans have an important say in how a football club is run. The point of the piece is to show that the supporters still have power over their club, by exhibiting these influential banners. For more information on the magazine please visit www.thegreensoccerjournal.com. Or to contact us directly concerning your homemade banners please email tom@thegreensoccerjournal.com.

Wolverine Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 You may want to ask John Newsham - his team prioritised confiscating them over all else for some reason. Must be a room full of them at Ewood. Hope they are proud.
Baz Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I'd hope some of you keep them and give them an airing at the Bamber Bridge 'funeral'. This could be the last chance of major airtime for a long, long time.

Baz Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 It's normally in July, but I doubt anything has been arranged yet. PNE Funeral 2011
he6rt6gr6m Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Most of them are bedsheets, and I wouldn't be wanting to touch them.
