OJRovers Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Going off that line-up, 5 players out of position (I know its only a friendly, but) will Kean ever learn? Myles Anderson - lol

Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Great turn and finish by number 9 for Mac Town (left anderson on his backside) 1-2 at the break with Blackburn looking distinctly average. Second half team Gk Jake Kean RB Adam Henley LB Josh Morris CB Gael Givet CB Grant Hanley CM Fabio Nunes CM Morten Gamst Pedersen © CM Radosav Petrovic CF Nuno Gomes CF Mauro Formica CF Nick Blackman
Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 1-3 short backpass by Givet gifts Mac Towns number 7 and easy finish.
roversfan99 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 How do Nunes and Gomes look? No surprise to see Simon left out, even closed doors friendlies are too costly!
Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Super Strike Mac Town 4-1 to the good. How do Nunes and Gomes look? Lost
Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Game ended 2-4 to Mac Town with Pedersen scoring on the final whistle. If the season is anything like this game then it's going to be a long one, a very long one.
bob fleming Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 If the season is anything like this game then it's going to be a long one, a very long one. That's very negative R4G, we take the positives and move on. Possibly to the High Court.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 That's very negative R4G, we take the positives and move on. Possibly to the High Court. LOL there were a few positives. At least Kean now know's that some of his players can't cut the mustard LOL. No seriously, Goodwillie looked better than normal, Best looks like he's got some decent strength and power and Dann looked accomplished so there are some good points.

Perhaps against Conference opposition Goodwillie and Dann have finally found their level.
cn174 Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Even Ince managed to beat Macclesfield Town in his first game in charge.
rog of the rovers Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Behind closed doors friendly defeat. Cue mass hysteria!
bob fleming Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Behind closed doors friendly defeat. Cue mass hysteria! Not at all Rog. We're all used to losing now, Kean's got it off to a fine art. Anyway, before anyone else tells us, it is all about fitness levels at this stage. We could lose every game pre-season, so long as we hit the ground running and beat Ipswich. This is the time to be trying one or two things such as different formations. Yadda yadda yadda.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Let's be honest here if it's about fitness level then a team from the Blue Square Premier beat us hands down and they're 3 leagues lower. Also, the players are 2 weeks into pre-season now and they spent a full week out in Austria so surely they should at least be up to scratch on Mac Town but again they weren't and also in some positions they where simply out classed
Neil Weaver Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 We're still 20/1 for relegation at Bet365. Just saying.
Miker Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 We really shouldn't be shipping 4 goals even in a friendly. I'd say we are just experimenting with different formations and players playing out of position, but I'm not sure how different that's going to be when the season starts!
ABBEY Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Whose going to be first to blame the pesky protesters

"We get worselves back on the training ground and wok harder. The lads all buy into what we're trying to achieve here."
davulsukur Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 4-2 defeat to Macclesfield, even if its a pre season friendly, you'd be expecting a bit more from the team than getting walked over by a conference team.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Well our defending seems to have impoved, good work Col!
Mercer Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Merely a sign of things to come. And if Anderson is considered a realistic 1st teamer, well says it all........................... Those who renewed season tickets were warned !!!
1864roverite Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Maybe its on Macclesfield and maybe its only a friendly BUT to ship 4 again against NON LEAGUE OPPOSITION is simply shocking BUT then again this is KEANSCUM and he has a plan. No doubt he will have them working harder, looking at his big plan. Please fook off and take your cronies with you you idiotic little scrote. You have no idea and no hope. Agnew and Raos take note of this pre season result because its all we Rovers fans can expect, more losses to lower and much inferior opposition.
Backroom DE. Posted July 18, 2012 Backroom Posted July 18, 2012 Haha, even in friendlies we ship 2+ goals as standard.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 It's a pre-season friendly.....people really need to calm down a bit.......it's all about fitness......and Kean will hopefully learn more about the side with a defeat than he would a win. Recently, West Ham lost one to Oxford United (League 2).....West Brom lost to Worcester City (Blue Square North)......Man City drew with Dynamo Dresden (German 2nd Division) with a really strong team......Brighton lost 3-2 to Dover. It seriously doesn't matter.
1864roverite Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 The words KEANSCUM and learn do not fit together in the same sentence. IF HE had LEARNED from his mistakes HE WOULD HAVE QUIT a long time ago. Where the hell is your rationale about KEANSCUM getting to know about his players ? He has not shown a shred of learning in 18 months and more so please leave it out, only a friendly my ar$e
