MarkBRFC Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Look at all the midweeks. Ugh Wait until Sky/BBC get there mits on them, there will be Friday Night, Saturday night & Sunday afternoon fixtures galore.
Ferrit Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 First game away at the football powerhouse that is Ipswich, I believe it's called coming down with a bump.
davulsukur Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 First game away at the football powerhouse that is Ipswich, I believe it's called coming down with a bump. It is, however coming down with a crash is when Ipswich go 3-0 up and Kean stands on the sideline like a complete and utter mug.
Ralfinho Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Rovers are currently the highest we will get in the championship next season. We are 3rd behind Barnsley & Birmingham
rog of the rovers Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Depressing reading. As said, a lot of midweek games including both Bolton fixtures. We can only hope a new manager/regime is in place by December 1st!
The1mattjansen Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Wow. I think what really hits home harder is that only 8 people have replied to this thread after 2 hours. And that nobody is remotely looking forward to the Burnley games. Helplessly worrying that unless this club can be wrestled from the current situation fast, there will soon be nothing left.
John Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Why do we play on a Wednesday early on in the season? (when other teams are playing on the Tuesday)
T4E Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 It's just sunk it to me that we're a Championship club. I hate them ######.
majorstyre Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 for the first time ever, so so underwhelemed by the release of the fixtures... in the past i would have been devouring the list, looking at where we pick up points, etc today, i barely glanced at them. only took a glance to the fixture on march 16th cos im getting married that day..!.. cant even be bothered to be miffed at missing that game oh how i hate the venkies, keanochio and all the other parasites killing our club.......
J*B Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Right come on then lads, who's going to create an iCal of all the fixtures and e-mail it around?
TAFKAP Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Is there a reason why Rovers have so many midweek games? And why you sticking with Wednesday nights, I thought mostly the Prem played Wednesdays for midweek fixtures? It's going to be interesting either, and I bet a lot more interesting than the Predictableship.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Barnsley at home on a cold amd wet Wednesday September night....I bet they could open the ground for free for that one and there would be no takers!
Mattyblue Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 It's going to be interesting either, and I bet a lot more interesting than the Predictableship. As you can see, we are all VERY excited about it.
EwoodDawn Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Am feeling nauseous and increasingly angry, the more I digest these fixtures. Half term at Palace, birthday weekend in wet, windy & probably snowy Blackpool, Christmas trips to Boro n Barnsley, Hull on a Tues night in Feb (thermals a must - trust an ex 'Ull resident) then Easter Mon in Cardiff. Just send Mrs D and Steve Brent round to my house now because I'm becoming a female David Banner here. "You won't like me when I'm angry!" Or perhaps I should go and set up camp at Ewood Park/Brockhall to see who I can share my germs with? Unfortunately, though, I'd probably only affect some poor loyal so-and-so because the others aren't prepared to pop their heads above the parapet at the mo, are they?
glen9mullan Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Not liking all this midweek home fixtures with more expected to come with fixture changes, thats 5 days holiday eaten already
OJRovers Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Does anyone know if its true that the idiots in Pune sacked the guy who sorted out their Premiership Sky feed to India? And why? I'm thinking that they will struggle to get Championship fixtures live.

Yes this is true, a nice chap too, they had problems getting a feed for a particular match I was told, and the guy who was Indian was shown the door
jim mk2 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 No match next season will be easy but away to Ipswich is a particularly difficult start. Comfortable 2-0 defeat but Kean still seeking the positives.
Ralfinho Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Can we have a poll regarding the first home fixture and whether people will be attending or not regardless of if they have renewed season tickets.
Brfcrule1 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Reading that list brings us back down to earth and to think this could have easily been avoided if we had appointed someone like MON or Curbs but instead we have to put up with the gimp in charge I just hope they sell up now & p*** off back to India.
MarkBRFC Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Not really sure why people are wondering why there are so many mid week games, the football league has always had loads of mid week fixtures in it. Anyway, not much to look forward to looking at that list is there?
