Did you see him towards Joe Hart when Sweden scored against us.? Knobend.

He's a tool.

Yeh he did that cause he said Joe Hart "over celebrated" when under 21's beat Sweden in Sweden in euros semi final. Must be a law against celebrating these dayd

Messi

Ronaldo

Falcao

Cavani

Rooney

Agüero

Van Persie

Benzema

Papiss Cissé

Neymar

Higuain

Villa

Gomez

Balotelli (at least when he bothers)

Errrr.... I'd claim that at least six or seven of those are better, possibly more, but I agree that Zlatan is definitely up there.

World class players, are players who make people go to a game just to watch that particular individual, because they are "that good". These days only RVP, Ronaldo and Messi are in that bracket. I wouldn't pay to go and watch any other player in world football.

Higuin, Rooney, aguero, villa, drogba, neymar, RVP, Tevez, Suarez and benzema

Neymar is undoubtedly talented and one of the best players I have ever seen live.....probably 3rd behind Arjen Robben and Woodgate before their injury troubles but I would class him as unproven even though I don't like that term.......don't accept Suarez.....his finishing is poor and he might have scored goals in the Dutch league but so did Afonso Alves....not that the Dutch league is poor or anything......Rooney, I have had this debate before....there is a reason he isn't as highly rated outside of England.

Its the Rooney one which I find it hardest to fathom.

Rooney is way way overrated. Not in the world class bracket. He would be in the 'good' striker list.

A lot of non-English people would say similar.

yes i am, oh i forgot terry is english so is rooney, they MUST be overrated because silva has achieved so much hasnt he? i mean a move to the french league is such an achievement, you english bashers make me laugh, im sure if pele and maradona were english you would have said they were overrated and dont say you wouldnt because i know for a fact you would, terry and rooney are two of the top players in the world, anyone says otherwise is just deluding themselves, that said english players on the whole are overrated as heck

PSG have got a lot of money and will be serious contenders in Europe and it isn't really a step down......Terry is not one of the best defenders in the world.....I think even Rio is better anyway.....and Rooney is far too inconsistent with his 3 prolific seasons.......a lot but not all English players are overrated......and most get discovered eventually anyway like Glen Johnson....or do eventually become good like Micah Richards.

You can easily accuse him of not producing his best form for England in tournaments ever since he burst onto the scene at Euro 2004, but injuries and fatigue have not helped out in that respect.

Ibrahimovic is an extremely talented player who can destroy any side when he is on form and interested, but week-in-week-out he is far from reliable and he's extremely inconsistent. The signing is a massive coup for PSG as it is the first truly big-name player to come to Ligue 1, but there is a reason why none of Europe's major clubs are rushing to beat them to the punch.

Don't really accept the first excuse.....it was only in the group stages of Euro 2004 he was good in the first place and he is just another Gerrard or Lampard that won't do it for the national side......Zlatan already went to Barca to be fair......and he left because Messi wanted to play centrally.

Did someone really say John Terry was as good as Silva? that is just laughable. Terry is a decent player at the world level, and he has played well in some big games, but you wont find many experts (or fans who actually watch the players they are commenting on, as i suspect quite a few people have never seen some of the players they are talking about) disagreeing with the fact Silva is by far a better CB than John Terry.

Only the group stages of Euro 2004?

Well after that comes the quarter-final, which was against Portugal. From what I remember of that game we were doing alright and were 1-0 up when Rooney had to be subbed after about half an hour with a broken foot. Now, call me soft, but I don't expect players to light a game up when they're nursing a fracture on the bench.

terry is the captain of the european champions, he has been so under ancelotti, mourinho, scolari, hiddink, to say he is not in the same class as silva is laughable to be honest, what has silva done in his career so far? what has he won? terry is one of the top 5 defenders in the world easily, just because he doesnt do summersaults, and a million stepovers doesnt take away what he does have, ask any attacker in the world who they regard as one of the top defenders and they will all mention terry, i would rather listen to their opinions than people who have never played the game, it IS because hes english that people slate him and you cant convince me otherwise

David May has won more medals than Terry; doesn't make him a better player.

Terry is OK in the blood and thunder of the Prem, but there's a reason no top European clubs ever tried in earnest to sign him (or many other English players recently) - because outside of our borders and all the Sky bulls#@t about the Prem being "the best league in the world" they just aren't that highly rated.

Prem is the best league in the world but not because the english players but the foreign players we have attracted. Its also the most popular league in the world and in terms of entertainment only Spain an Germany come close.

The Bundesliga is the most competitive, La Liga the best in terms of quality, the Prem pays the highest wages hence why players want to play (and stay) here - well all apart from the two best players on earth who prefer Spain?

It's the most popular because it has the highest marketing budget, the most world famous club (Man Utd), and the widest reach in television terms being shown in many countries on channels that are part of Murdoch's global media empire. Not because of the quality of the football.

Agreed but that still means he has only really played well in tournaments during the Group stages of Euro 2004.

Real Madrid signed Jonathan Woodgate. Does that make him better than ANY other English defender in recent times ? Or maybe Michael Owen, Steve McManaman or Robbie Keane?

Noone every tried signing (proper bids) Raul (in his prime), or Xavi either does that make them average or overrated ?

La liga has two quality teams that would both easily win the prem but in terms of overall quality I think premier league is a lot better. Just look at forlan and kanoute goals records in Spain compared to England.

that's up for debate , the EPL is the most entertaining , yes , doesnt mean its the best , didnt spain have something like 5 out of the 8 teams in the semi's of both european competitions this year ? ... wasnt the spain team made upe of 10 out of 11 players from la liga? wasnt 10 out of 11 italian players that played in the final from italy?

Didn't the premiership have the most players playing at the euros? Ok well Spain might be pretty close but seria a is below Germany England France Spain in terms of entertainment, I lost an accumulator this season betting on seria A because the were 6 0-0s that weekend.

Anybody who watched Rovers over the last two seasons would challenge that the EPL is the most entertaining, we were garbage many times under this current bellend.
