Stand & Deliver Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I saw Hanley in Tesco Express in Roe Lee before. Are the squad still away? If so does this mean anything transfer wise?

whatdial Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Nesta signed for an MLS team, Zambrotta will follow probably follow to one of the 'retirment leagues' ala North Africa, US, China etc WhIch north African league is a retirement league then? Very intrigued by this development.
Mafioso Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Just realized I got my geography wrong. What I meant was UAE Qatar Dubai etc. Its not like I said the Antarctic league anyway.
Majiball Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Is he as good as the 26yr old Malaysian, local parks full back he raves about? I can't help but think that if shebby found a pound in the high street, he'd run round telling everyone he could he was the luckiest man alive.
Eddie Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 and I can't help but feel that if he found a pound on the high street we would have half of this messageboard accusing him of stealing it.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 and I can't help but feel that if he found a pound on the high street we would have half of this messageboard accusing him of stealing it. In the letter of the law, unless he hands it in, he is.
jny Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 WhIch north African league is a retirement league then? Very intrigued by this development. Egyptian, surely?
BRFC1995 Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 geography ain't a strong suit but Rivaldo is in the Angolan league???????
neophox Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Forest has kuwait player Mutawi on trial.....They have kuwait owners....sounds familiar...
gumboots Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Well not really because I don't think, though I'm willing to be corrected, that we've had an Indian triallist in so far.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Well not really because I don't think, though I'm willing to be corrected, that we've had an Indian triallist in so far. Only at director level!
gumboots Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 True. Of course he could just be talking about jobs for associates of the owners in which case we have Agnew, Hendry, shaw (is that his name?) etc
True Blue & White Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 In the letter of the law, unless he hands it in, he is. No actually.... But what action is required often depends on what's found, says John Spencer, professor of law at the University of Cambridge."If you pick up a £1 coin, you can keep it unless you saw someone drop it, as you would not be able to find the owner by taking reasonable steps. "But if you found four or five £20 notes in a gutter - as I once did - you probably will find the owner as they are likely to contact the police, as they did in my case." http://news.bbc.co.u...ine/8129534.stm

Nice one. Best comeback ever. In any case, for everyone who is wondering what happened to Simon Vukcevic and why he stopped playing or showing up for Blackburn Rovers for a long time - it seems that he has nasal surgery. That's why he was wearing that mask during the last game I saw him play (was it against Sunderland last year?).
bennyboyt11 Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Pardon my ignorance, but if he wore a mask when he played for us, that would mean he'd had the surgery and they deemed it safe for him to play? Why did he never play after that is the question really.

Cryer said yesterday that he had had an operation over the summer and was 2 weeks away from being available. I assume this means he had a second operation after the internationals.
The Rover of Finland Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Amazing how little is happening. Silva seems to be over. We still need a new face alongside Murphy. Lowe isn´t good enough but the clown seems to rate him. Petrovic propably isn´t any better player than last season. Dunn and Murphy both there would be a suicide defensifely. Same goes if MGP partners Murphy and he really isn´t even CM. I don´t think Nzonzi will ever wear Rovers shirt again but getting rid of him is a task.
67splitscreen Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Zac Whitbread joined Leicester on a free, cheap cover missed out on there IMO.
neophox Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Nice that Vukcevic will return soon! Its very quiet on the transfer front but I think there could happen things once Hoilett is at QPR.
T.J.Newton Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Nice that Vukcevic will return soon! Its very quiet on the transfer front but I think there could happen things once Hoilett is at QPR. if it goes to a tribunal to fix a fee on hoilet id imagine it would take weeks not days until the fee is received by rovers, does anybody know how long it took for the sturidge deal to be finalised?
Ricky Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Cryer tweeting about 2 new signings. Anyone got any idea? Guess its the forward and young midfielder or left back who have been in on trial.
