Summer Transfer Window

We need to sign more proven quality soon. What's the hold-up? Looks like another window where transfer income is higher than spendings. Stripping of assets...

We've been relegated and it's freaking July, and so far we've sold Yak for £1M(?) and bought Best for £3M+. Given the circumstances I think a gross spenditure of £2M+ is a surprise. I don't think many relegated teams have had "positive" transfer budgets in their summer transfer window. And there doesn't seem to be any queues lining up for the N'Zonzis, Olsson's and others.

Sounds like it is Edinho Junior and Paulo Jorge that are the two new signings as of today that Cryer was referring to last night. Sounds like Jorge was decent at the weekend in the Fleetwood game, although I know nothing of either player really.

Its great to sign exciting hot prospects but thats what they are and while Rovers made a decent start to the transfer window it feels like its gone a bit stale in terms of bringing ready made talent in for the long and hard marathon that is the Championship. Unless these two plus Nunes are so good that they will fit in straight away with the first team then I would say we still need a left back, a centre half and a striker...and if Nzonzi leaves then we need another centre midfielder to keep Petrovic as far away from the first team as possible.

Kean has again proven what an idiot he is. I don´t judge him signing young player but comparing him to a legend is just so stupid. Probably again he doesn´t have a slightest clue what is talking. He compared Formica to Batistuta and the only thing they have same is nationality. Goodwillie is next Rooney and now it seems that Goodie was brought in without asking Kean. He really is just a puppet. Normal football manager would have left months ago but this idiot stays as others clown. I afraid there is an Portuguese agent who can´t stop laughing and believe his luck.

The idiot thing to do would be to leave, nothing idiotic about collecting a big pay cheque at the end of every month

If you happen to think the most important thing in life is money...then yeah. But that in itself is a stupid idea.

It has much deepr conotations than just money; he isn`t likely to get a job of this stature again is he, so why would he leave a golden egg when he has a family to look after as well ? not just about money and the guy is that deluded he thinks he is doign a great job, so why walk away.

Wish that wasn`t the case and someone had the balls to pott him straight away.

I think it would be naive to believe Kean is an idiot and didn't realize the stick he'd get for calling Jorge the new gattuso, hes blatantly just taking the pish out of us and once again showing he and his sidekick Agnew don't give a toss about us or what we think as he knows he is untouchable.

Good God. OK, I'll play along, again.

So lets get this straight, your telling us that Kean is still in charge purely because he won't walk away? The fact he has presumably cost Desai millions of pounds as a result of relegation, has driven thousands of fans away from the club they love because he is still manager; that is OK?

Not to mention the sheer ineptitude, incompetence and inadequacies of the people Kean has chosen to work in senior positions at the club, at the expense of some very, very good people who had the long term interests of the club at heart - senior people who if the Rao's had any sense they would have listened to and all this mess could have been avoided, er, well, erm, about 19 months ago.

I'm supposed to believe that this is all because Kean is on a good wage?! I suggest Desai grows a pair and quickly if she cares about Blackburn Rovers, it's employees and fans. Otherwise Kean will continue to make a serious amount of money and the rest of us will continue to suffer. Mention Portsmouth FC to her.

Out of interest how would Desai define abject failure in football?

Ask her to Google it, it probably comes up with Keans picture. Then again, she doesn't use the Internet does she, otherwise she could have read up on Andersons work at Man City.

I don't believe she ever gave a flying toss about Blackburn Rovers, it's employees or fans. The only saving grace may have been the marketing of the Venky brand by doing a good job of running a premiership football club.

Unfortunately, due to many diabolical business decisions, her family are now seen as complete idiots and very weak business people. The Venky brand, at this moment in time is tarnished in the UK.

All I'm saying is that anybody with any amount of self-respect or shame would've put his hands up and resigned when it became clear he was hopelessly out of his depth. He must know that this will be his last job in the sports industry and he's going to make as much money out of it as possible, because after this he'll be lucky to get a job in McDonalds.

He knows that he's on his first and last big pay day and he'll squeeze it for all it's worth. I don't like it any more than anybody else but I understand why he's doing it.

Totally agreed re Kean

But it takes two to tango, what's the excuse for not sacking him?

Your guess is as good as mines at the moment. And I don't want to join Mr. Hunt so I won't be the one to ask her.

Then give us at least her home address and I will ask her myself...
