Has Guthrie been picked up by anyone? He could be a decent addition and would perhaps be prepared to drop down a division. I'm sure there was some talk of him coming to us on loan last year so perhaps it's someone we'll look at again.

Guthrie would be outstanding in the Championship but I can see a team like Norwich or Swansea signing him.

Funnily enough I just googled him to see if he signed for anyone and apparantley at the start of June he got married, mass brawls kicked off at the wedding and the police were called out 3 times. The article said at the end said it may put off people trying to sign him, wonder if that's why there hasn't seemingly been a lot of public interest in him so far. Having said that the article I read didn't really make out that Guthrie was the cause of the brawls, didn't really say too much about what started them other than Lobster being thrown about.

Fair play to him, our best striker in years. If only we had him a few years ago when we were solid but lacked goals.

Notice how he thanks everyone but the manager for his time with us.

Just asking but were the Rumours about us being after Billy Sharp true? If so, I'd rather we went for him. A player who will score for us in the championship I'm sure...

Cryer reporting that next week will be busy. Rovers start preseason training on monday too with all players due back today.

Wiil be interesting to see which players dont turn up for 1st team training like salgado, roberts, samba, andrews after it was clear they wanted out or where being pushed.

im betting on Robinson, nzonz and Formica not being there.

Robinson is in Turkey sorting out his move to Bestikas so that is to be expect.

Formica will turn up.

But I think Nzonzi won't turn up.

Olsson won't be back for a couple of weeks after playing in Euro's.
