According to Daily Mail, we are interested in loaning Joey Barton.

The only positive I can find, is that Barton and Kean is going to clinch together.

The positive for me is I can see Barton kicking seven shades out of Kean

Barton is immune to biting his tongue and a very good footballer when motivated. Its a potential win-win. Even if the very worst case scenario does happen, it still wont make the club any worse than it already is. How could it?

sign him up stevie wonder

i'm up for signing anyone outspoken with a bigger attitude than the manager, too many poor players happy to be employed and young lads too timid to kick off in the face of keans specialist subject of tactical suicide

and the remaining few that dont fit into those 2 categories wont speak out cos they are old freinds of keans.

There are far too many yes-men in and around the first team. Joey Barton's presence could really shake things up.

Which is why he won't be coming anywhere near Ewood. The trend so far has been that anyone would could potentially undermine Kean's "authority" has been given the boot.

I see no reason for Kean wanting to bring in Barton.

You really can't put savage in the same category as the other 2 - savage is like an overgrown schoolboy who does daft things but is basically a nice chap. diouf I don't know about but he has done some fairly unpleasant things. Barton however, has a history of violence. When he is taking football he talks sensibly about it, but he cannot control his temper and is an accident waiting to happen.

I hated El Hadji Diouf more than I hate Barton and I hardly liked Savage much either

Really?

Yes.....Diouf spat at Celtic fans once.....spitting is one of my worst things in the world and doing it at fans is especially scum.....and that dive against us.....Savage was just a prick....I have relatives who are Villa fans and their immense hatred of him when he was at Birmingham made me dislike him also.

Savage was a prick? Was he hell. A player that gave his all in a really good Rovers side and still calls himself a 'Rovers fan'.

In his Birmingham days I'm sure he did wind up the Villa fans and they'd also have had a chant or two aimed in his direction, tis all part of the rivalry. They had an 'immense hatred'? of Robbie flaming Savage!? do me a favour!

Personally like Savage, he talks very fondly of his time here as a player, and had a huge amount of respect for John Williams.

We were talking about before they signed.....I loved Savage when he played for us, he was actually one of my favourite players.....and I still do now, especially after "Would you be annoyed if you were a Blackburn fan?"...."I am a Blackburn fan".

Diouf I liked when he played well but was too inconsistent for me although he did like the bigger games and was probably our best player in the first half of the season Allardyce was sacked.

Yea I do get what a rivalry is.....but they hated him with a passion.....for them he got Dion Dublin sent off even though he did headbutt him....and you know how you much he used to especially wind up the other team and their fans......Villa fans hate all Birmingham players but they especially hated him and this was when B'ham got promoted but Villa could never beat them.

Have you met savage? He did a question and answer at the Hordens Pub a couple of years ago. Came across as quality geezer and donated his appearance fee to charity. He is also one of the very few mainstream media pundits who sticks up for Rovers. He clearly has a lot of time for the club and our fans. Hardly a prick is he?

For the second time, well third technically, this was before he came when he was a proper wind up merchant.....but you love those players at your club.

If Barton had any sense he'd push for a move to us.

There isn't another club he could go to where he is guaranteed not to be the most hated person connected with that club. He might not even make the top 5 at Rovers.

Love the logic...

.... but if he said he loves Kean when he does his presser, he'd be running it close.

I don't think QPR would get away with loaning him out to a lower division club so he can serve his ban quicker and then just bringing him back when the ban is over. Surely that would be bringing the game into direpute. What would be in it for us anyway? Conspirac y theories only in reply please.
