Mercer Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Kean, however, is in no doubt of Rhodes' ability and insists his side could only benefit from having such an instinctive finisher within their ranks. "I think he's a quality player. If you are a natural goalscorer you can score all types of goals. Left foot, right-foot, headers, volleys - and he can certainly do that. Oh, so that means we would sign Goodwillie mark 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sharpysharps Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Certainly hope Shebby has one or two other irons in the fire in case the Rhodes thing doesn't work out. Kind of expecting us to start the first game with Gomes up top on his own with Kazim Richards playing off him.
windymiller7 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Oh no! The dreaded left foot, right foot crap he came out with when talking about Goodwillie! Oh, so that means we would sign Goodwillie mark 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beat me to it!
The Rover of Finland Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Certainly hope Shebby has one or two other irons in the fire in case the Rhodes thing doesn't work out. Kind of expecting us to start the first game with Gomes up top on his own with Kazim Richards playing off him. No doubt Nuno will be a starter at Ipswich. His role could be much bigger than expected. Isn´t Kazim more like a winger? That´s the position I have seen in action. I am afraid the clown picks Dunn as a second striker.
sharpysharps Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I think he plays right wing or as a supprting striker....but yeah having thought about it Dunny could well end up starting.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I think he plays right wing or as a supprting striker....but yeah having thought about it Dunny could well end up starting. I am sure about it. Also Jason Lowe will be there no matter what.
Backroom DE. Posted August 8, 2012 Backroom Posted August 8, 2012 Rhodes is nothing like Goodwillie. Some of the posts on this thread are a bit embarrassing, it's obvious very few posters here have actually seen him play. I have, he's a great young player and has all the tools to succeed. Worth a gamble, though admittedly I fear for his development under Steve Kean and the the other assorted idiots we have employed at the club.
chaddyrovers Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Rovers set to land Rhodes for 6mil http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/jordan-rhodes-transfer-blackburn-to-seal-1238360
Josh Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Personally I can't really say I believe any of it, we've heard it all before. If Cryer comes out and confirms it then maybe, just maybe
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Nicko reporting in mirror that Rhodes will sign - but in all honesty only repeating what Cryer and Kammy have been saying that he is interested in the contract on offer.
levirover Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Apparently we are now meant to be getting Rhodes. According to Nixon anyway http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/jordan-rhodes-transfer-blackburn-to-seal-1238360 Great signing if true
patrickvalery Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Apparently we are now meant to be getting Rhodes. According to Nixon anyway http://www.mirror.co...to-seal-1238360 Great signing if true Well thats buggered that then!
dwayne cage Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I never believe a word the mirror says anymore. Remember last season when we was set to land Van Nistlerooy, David Guiza, Raul, Papiss Cisse and Axel Witsel?
Andy Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Maybe he'll finally get something right........ Well he's covered all bases. One minute there's no chance Rhodes will come, the next he might and then finally he's definitely coming. Throw enough mud at a wall and some of it will stick.
chaddyrovers Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Glen Mullan is sure this with happen or at least 95% sure. He was spot on with the Yakubu and Dann last season
patrickvalery Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 looks a bit fat in that picture. Even in verticle stripes! Blimey!
Mercer Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The next Grabbi !!! Or a grossly overpriced Goodwillie !!!
patrickvalery Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The next Grabbi !!! Or a grossly overpriced Goodwillie !!! Says the next Victor Meldrew!
A cup of beans Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Rovers set to land Rhodes for 6mil http://www.mirror.co...to-seal-1238360 Wow.. Lets hope Kean plays him upfront! Youre the bearer of great news, Chaddy. Am I dreaming ?? I honestly didnt think Rovers would sign him or be serious about doing so. Maybe a case of "Desperate times.. desperate measures" from the owners.
callumrovers Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Glen is certain this is happening. Pleasantly surprised!
A cup of beans Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Says the next Victor Meldrew! After everything thats gone on.. and will continue to go on... Not one single Rovers fan should be blamed for being cynical - about the current regime.
dwayne cage Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 According to Cryer we should be all more informed tomorrow.
