Why ? crikey, Kean was caught on camera slagging off big Sam and he didn`t go. Why would Shebby have to go, when some of its lost in translation and he has apologised ?

Personally, I like what Shebby is doing and for once I think he is giving us a route back in to the club. He may have made a mistake but in the great scheme of things that have been goign on at our club for the last couple of years, its not really that bad to be honest.

I agree at the end of the day what he said about Peds was a bit harsh yes but as a football fan it shows how passionate he is. I've said a lot worse about Peds in the past 12 months. Shebby has the power to sack Kean so we should all be on his side. If he can get the Rhodes deal over the line he would earn a lot more respect. I doubt even he can do it though.

This is all a smokescreen - Shabby has no power at all, he has been introduced to appease the fans and take the heat off Kean, the whole thing has been set up to distract us from what is really going on.

Nailed on that we will not sign Rhodes either - Kazim-Richards is the Best replacement, expect some sort of "we tried with a serious bid to land Rhodes but HTFC were not willing to listen" bullsh*t from Kean shortly.

a) I am going off what was said in the meeting yesterday i never claimed anything as fact which you would know if you read my previous message instead of being a typical moron who reads at a nursery level.

That's pretty inaccurate. He's quick,strong with good link up play,and brilliant in the air, far more than just a good shot

There's much more to being a goalscorer than having a good shot.....it's all about instinct ie being in the right place at the right time eg Van Nistelrooy, Solksjaer or even Javier Hernandez....but like Ryan says he has much more to his game than that.

He definitely has acceleration.....Bentley would be a good comparison.....you wouldn't say he had real pace but he's far from slow.

Shebby has wasted 2 wks on this deal, most likely we won't have a striker for the Ipswich game on Saturday, but hopefully for next wednesday 1st home game of the season against Hull City

Chamakh is just another big name we'll be linked with that would never want to come to us. I agree the Rhodes bid if it falls through (which has looked likely for some time) has been a waste of time. A lot of fans who I have spoke to rate Guidetti as a higher quality player than Rhodes seems funny we wouldn't want to pay out for him but would for Rhodes. Possible that we don't have 6m in hard cash though.

I am guessing we will end up bringing someone in on deadline day like Yakubu last season. It would be fantastic to bring in an 'exciting' name like Rhodes, Guidetti, etc but in reality I would take someone like Chris Wood from WBA or Billy Sharp.

Wood may not be the most exciting of players to go for but he bagged 9 goals in 23 games for Brum so he can get goals in a team that creates chances. Did less well at a struggling Bristol City but the kid has potential. Dont really need to justify going for Sharp as the guy is absolute quality.

I just don't think its about a big name anymore, look at Wolves, they will probably use Ebanks-Blake a lot this season because he has a great record in the championship. Sure he's naff in the premiership but he's the kind of player that you would want to bang in the goals to get you back up.
