I think some of your directors would happily take £5m if Rovers put it on the table. Its not about replacing the player, more about securing the club's finances for the next 2/3 years. There's only City/Chelsea/MU that don't need to sell players to cover costs.

we have our version of Jack walker at the moment, although done in a quieter way (no dis-respect meant to Walker more those clubs that came afterwards and Chelsea, Man city etc who did it in an extremely overt manner). We do not need the money hence why we do not need to sell. I want to avoid a comparing competition (this owner has this amount, that owner has that amount etc) as it adds nothing to that debate. Hoyle has made a considerable sum of money in the region of 1/2 a billion. Of course that's not all going to be spent on Town, that would truly be madness, imagine what his wife would say! But town at present do not need 5 million as you state to keep the club ticking over.

We can't get a player as good as Rhodes in before the season starts so we are not going to sell him. He is worth more to us on the pitch than the money in the bank.

I don't know why, but the double spacing in your posts annoys me way more than it should.

Accepted, I've edited the post above. Its the dodgy space-bar on my laptop, it adds a double space as its to sensitive. One messageboards, I not worried about the typing being bob-on.

hid had a tight hamstring while playing for Scotland. Town aren't taking the chance of playing Rhodes only for him to then be out for 6 to 8 weeks.

I realise this will lead to speculation and on am sorry that your not going to get a chance to see him play in a domestic game.

he's not going anywhere. Genuine Hamstring injury. i am hearing its a small tear in some fibres looking to be out of action for a week. Hands off Jack hunt and Oliver Norwood too! To be fair its the first time I have seen Norwood in a competitive game, The Coventry fans were right, he's looking good as an attacking central midfielder.

I've seen this too many times to believe he really has a hamstring injury. Like the person above we've been stung many many times. It's common knowledge that he would welcome a move if the club was willing to let him leave. It's the tyre kickers we have in charge that are taking their time to fulfill what Hudds have asked them for trying to do player swaps and different terms. I doubt he'll come here too as money talks and BS walks but I don't think we'll be the only club interested in stepping in for him.
