T4E Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 he's not going anywhere. Genuine Hamstring injury. i am hearing its a small tear in some fibres looking to be out of action for a week. Hands off Jack hunt and Oliver Norwood too! To be fair its the first time I have seen Norwood in a competitive game, The Coventry fans were right, he's looking good as an attacking central midfielder. Would it be fair to say you'll be on the Internet less come the middle of next month?

booth Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I think Huddersfield look decent. Fast team and could prove troublesome to our snail like under confident defence. Cardiff are one of the bigger sides in the C'ship and they are certainly giving them a game. But getting beat. This journo believes he's on his way...
Eddie Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Well, not that this is a Huddersfield thread, but I do feel sorry for them. They deserve better than that.
diziet2 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 thanks Lads. I am chuffed, hate losing but we have proved we can cut it in the Championship. Dead chuffed that our weak area of last year; central midfield; has clearly be sorted by signing southern to tackle hard, Clayton to pass the ball and Norwood to go surging into the oppositions box. Stick Jordan Rhodes on top of that and with the fullbacks we have he'll be in the 30's for goals this season. I reiterate Rhodes is not going anywhere.
dwayne cage Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 "@CryerRovers: I'm done for the night. Interesting visitor to portman road tmrw! Night all - in tmrws lt btw" A striker maybe? Maybe Rhodes? As If! Haha
donnermeat Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 What I have gleaned from this thread that I know for sure is that Ben thinks Rhodes won't be leaving Huddersfield. I can't be 100% certain but I think he MAY have mentioned it in just a couple of his posts.

RibbleValleyRover Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Rovers increase bid for Rhodes: http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9881393.Rovers_increase_bid_for_Rhodes/
G Somerset Rover Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Rovers increase bid for Rhodes: http://www.lancashir...bid_for_Rhodes/ Seems as though Rhodes has kicked off and made his intentions known to the club that he wants out. Maybe the goal in midweek and subsequent attention has been enough to finally turn his head.

Oh dear, looks like he wasn't injured afterall. It's a cruel game ;-)
Eddie Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Let's not gloat. We don't want to behave like some of the d¨cks that we have encountered when our better players are linked with moves. He was only reacting the way that many Rovers fans would have done and there is nothing to say that this move is certainly on. It looks as though we may be getting closer, but there's nothing agreed yet.
rhodie Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Ben! Ben! Where are you Ben? Dammmnn that`s cold.
danger19_80 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 They proved they could play well without Rhodes tonight. £6.5m upfront is a wad of cash. Could this happen?!
diziet2 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Ben! Ben! Where are you Ben? I'm here and still willing to bet that he will not be going to Blackburn and will not be leaving Huddersfield in this summer transfer window My guess is if Huddersfield are mid table at Christmas and a good offer comes in for him then He'll be off to the premiership, Everton or a mid table premiership club in January. If Town are in the play offs then We might yet hold onto him till the summer.
booth Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 If we sign Rhodes then Shebby will have fulfilled one promise anyway. He was convinced we could get Rhodes and also convinced he's a better player than the strikers Kean wanted.
