ben, you keep splurting out the same tired drivel, you can't be confident because you dont have any insight into the ongoings in the huddersfield boardroom. I can bet you £1000 he will sign for rovers and to be honest i think you know it.

my only concern, and I can only be truthful, I've never been a stuck-in-the-mud is I have become aware that a premiership team has come in with a bid that is close to our valuation. The offer has not been accepted but at the same time, a bid from a premiership team and the club being a good fit for Rhodes makes it more difficult to turn down.

I assure you that no Premier League team will take a risk on Rhodes at that price and on those wages. Your chairman has outpriced a move to the PL for him in my opinion. He still hasn't kicked a ball in tier 2 never mind the PL and in the PL it's a huge huge step up from scoring for fun in League 2.

If you got 6.5m up front for him that would be immense. You could secure your place in the Championship and build on that. For us if we take him it's a huge risk as then I doubt we'll have any money left in Jan should a new manager come in which we're all praying for.

Football didn't start with the Premier League.

Before Jack, Rovers had no major successes since 1928 with an FA Cup win in 1928. Huddersfield had won the football league 3 times in a row earlier that decade.

Don't throw out nonsense that disrespects other clubs.

To be fair there's a lot of nonsense being spouted by Huddersfield fans at the moment too, slagging off Rovers and our fans. Not that Ben has, I just think Ben is in denial. I know because I've been there when we sold Shearer, Hendry, Jones... etc. I'm still gutted we lost Yakubu and Hoilett. I'd much rather we kept them and Hudds kept Rhodes.

I felt Ben's first posts here came with an attitude and the fans of Huddersfield on other sites are slagging us (the fans) off.

Its not like we are pesonally making bids for their bloody player!!!

Myabe they think the supporters strust has been successful in their bid to own Rovers??!!!!!??

If the two cases were to be the same you'd have had to be on a Manc forum prior to Jones signing claiming that he wouldn't sign. Ben's on a Blackburn Rover's forum. It's not the same thing.

agreed. We've had some great posters from other clubs, ffan has always been great. Samdingle is good for comedy value and longsiders always posts good stuff.

Ben's been more than welcome on here. Just going to be amusing if Huddersfield do sell up.

I accept your view as only another can judge any of us.

I think in my defense though certainty of knowing Huddersfield position in regards to Jordan Rhodes and knowing that we are financially fortunate enough not to be in a position of having to sell prize assets is being confused for smugness. Plus I like to have a bit of fun too £30 million for Rhodes.. good god, I'd have the taxi ready and waiting.

In 4 months though he will be able to get the said if not more and get to play in the premiership. Hence why I think he will go in January but not this summer.he will prove how good he is in those 4 months in the championship

I don't think we are ANY better than they are. Probably on par with them. They narrowly lost to a good Championship side and only we just drew with an average side.

They have a manager the fans trust, we have a bald alcoholic nutter.

Exactly, they have a manager we don't. That's the difference. The squad is better. If we had a manager who could get the best out of the squad we'd probably have won today.

But that's guesswork. If you went to your parents and told them that you could raise your wage by 36k a week and asked them advice whether you should wait or not, they'd be poor parents to tell you to wait and gamble. He could get injured, he may not perform in this league. He may even perform okay in this league but not enough for someone to offer him 36k a week.

You obviously don't kiow any Huddersfield fans. A friend at uni is a fan of theirs, and me and my housemates took great pleasure from reading their forums after matches as they, in my opinion, are some of the most fickle fans around.

A personal favourite of mine was after a game where they were winning by 3 and ended up drawing, to which there fans claimed that Grayson is Leeds through and through and was sent there to ruin them as Leeds were scared of them.

Even after there 1285635 unbeaten run (maybe exagerated) they were giving Clarke abuse when they didn't win every game. There fans are hilarious trust me. Just wait till they lose a few, Grayson will be hung out to dry.

Indeed. I'd love Glen Hoddle to take over. Great tactition and coach. Loves his sides to play football and would be great for our technical players. Needs to sort his man management skills out cos that ###### him up at Spurs. Sorry i digress. Yeah any half decent manager would have us walk that league!

Even if Kean gets sacked who has the confidence Venky's will get a good manager in?

The club is in shambles,and has been for a long time. Any player who'd want to play under Kean will have to have a mental test as part of their medical, to make sure their not insane!

Harry will probably tell him to shove it, but I'll bet he offers him £££'s to come here.

Wouldn't be surprised but couldn't see him wanting to move North and after the last 18 months be nice to have a manger with no alleged baggage if you know what I mean.
