dwayne cage Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 We have to be the most stupid club in history, remember when we were a proud breed of fans? Soon they'll tell tales like myths of the times when Rovers fans actually had a thing called PRIDE.
Sparky Marky Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 It looks like we've gone in with another pathetic bid We are a truly classless club, clearly trying to unsettle the lad and hope he kicks up a fuss Why not try and unsettle him and hope they sell an unhappy player.? I hate the barstards but this the correct way.
T.J.Newton Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 We should be looking at Austin from burnley We really don't even need another striker(although i wouldn't turn a goodn down) or even any other players(OK,maybe a left back!), We need somebody to get the best out of the players we have and we could #pissthisleague (scuse my Bburn). Stating the obvious i know, sorry.
booth Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 It looks like we've gone in with another pathetic bid We are a truly classless club, clearly trying to unsettle the lad and hope he kicks up a fuss What's this? So we haven't bid £6.5m then?
Backroom Tom Posted August 19, 2012 Backroom Posted August 19, 2012 What's this? So we haven't bid £6.5m then? According to Nixon the actual amount bid is far less than the amount we leaked out
booth Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I don't know what to think of Nixon's Rovers info these days. He was saying that we were a hairline away from signing Mackie in an interview one morning, then in the afternoon Shebby was interviewed and said he didn't know where the hell he was getting his info from because Mackie was 100% not signing for Rovers. So someone was feeding Nixon duff information.
T.J.Newton Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Nixon=hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, the big old hagis should just fall on his sword, shameless bs merchant.
dwayne cage Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 If Nixon has said its a lot less than 6.5 million then we must have bid 16.5 million. Two weeks ago we was on the verge of signing him according to Nixon. He's the biggest waste of sports journalism around.
Pedro Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Why not try and unsettle him and hope they sell an unhappy player.? I hate the barstards but this the correct way. Totally agree, Hughes and Kenny did this all of the time. X amount of teams have done it to us too, especially Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs. The old "He's a truly great player, who I really admire....but I can't talk about him because he is contracted to another club."
roverandout Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 no decent striker = bottom half/relegation
callumrovers Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Glen M thinks we have bis 6.5M upfront, Nixko recons we ain't come close again to the valuation. What's going on.
roverandout Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 i dont think the clowns who 'run the club' even know
diziet2 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 alas the optimist in you will always hope that this time the owners are actually telling the truth. Reality though shows that they lie and the lie and they lie again to you. I have genuine sympathy for all rovers fans. Ignore the media spin on things, most football fans out there would be willing to help you get shot of the venkeys and Steve Kean. As an aside, if you are really kean (no pun intended, well maybe a little one) on signing a Huddersfield Town striker then I am sure we'll take a million or so, for Alan Lee. Get Shebby to put the bid in and I am sure it'll be a goer.

diziet2 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Alan Lee?????????? hahahahaha you for real?? now thats funny!! and a million quid...your losing it ben!! come now, 10 goals in 2 years... that sort of prolific strike rate should have you snapping at our heals.. Its a veritable steal at a million. doing you a favour trying to help you out a bit. plus you get to chant one of the terraces great songs... Alan.. Alan Leeeee, Alan!... Alan leeeee... and so on. At that price I'd be cutting my own throat...
Stuart Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Glen M thinks we have bis 6.5M upfront, Nixko recons we ain't come close again to the valuation. What's going on. At a guess, Shebby told Glen, and a Hudds source told Nixko?

Hughesy Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Petrovic to Turkey a permanent deal according to Glen Mullen, so perhaps the cash from that will help in the move for Rhodes.
dwayne cage Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 We are running out of time to get this deal done. As far as we know Hudds could drag this out until deadline day then say "No" then we don't have any striker until January!
diziet2 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 We are running out of time to get this deal done. As far as we know Hudds could drag this out until deadline day then say "No" then we don't have any striker until January! with respect and not meaning to sound like a broken record Town are not and will not drag this out. We have clearly said no twice including a written letter clearly stating he is not for sale. If you 3rd bid has been put in then there will be a clear 3rd rejection on Monday. We are not going to sell to a divisional rival, blackburn are not going to match our valuation so their is no deal to be done. It does not effect Town as we carry on with our usual footballing business , next up is preparing for Forest on Tuesday night. Unfortunately for your good selves the only people dragging anything out is your owners and manger who seem intent on keeping this impossibility of a transfer as an opiate for the Blackburn masses. All lies and false hope I am afraid.
alderson777 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 with respect and not meaning to sound like a broken record Stop there mate, already do! Every other post you say the same thing! Unless you are very ITK or work for Huddersfield you dont know what they are thinking... So please for all of us here, we get the picture you dont think htfc will sell rhodes to brfc according what only i can guess as your best friend the chairman. Its no disrespect to as you seem a vey nice guy but you seem to be trying to convince yourself now! Getting a little bit boring......
