with respect and not meaning to sound like a broken record Town are not and will not drag this out. We have clearly said no twice including a written letter clearly stating he is not for sale. If you 3rd bid has been put in then there will be a clear 3rd rejection on Monday.We are not going to sell to a divisional rival, blackburn are not going to match our valuation so their is no deal to be done. It does not effect Town as we carry on with our usual footballing business , next up is preparing for Forest on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately for your good selves the only people dragging anything out is your owners and manger who seem intent on keeping this impossibility of a transfer as an opiate for the Blackburn masses. All lies and false hope I am afraid.

By the way Alan Shearer wasn't for sale when we were free spending in the 90's, we'd won the Premier League and didn't need to sell. Then Newcastle bought him.

I like how he said an opiate for the blackburn masses hahahahaha..Get a grip pal theres been plenty of better players to have worn or been liked to/wear the famous blue and white of rovers .Sure this guy can score goals but he aint the be all and end all really is he?,come on. Also its not exactly a cheap price ,surely there has to be other options out there who have experience at this lowly level. It is such an unfortunate circumstance that we have found ourselves in by having to reluctantly rub shoulders with the likes huddersfield and other teams of such poor stature. :angry: UNFORTUNATE=OWNESRSHIP BY VENKYS BTW

rovers out to 4/5 from 4/11 for rhodes, fulham into evens from 7/1 in the space of 2 hours, apparently 7 mill bid gone in from fulham

lots of rumours about bids for Players at this stage of the season.

Betting means nothing tbh .

yes this is true, the bid came in yesterday. It is not the 8 million but is getting close. Definitely more testing for Dean Hoyle. Not really the cash, more denying Rhodes the chance to play in the premiership. I 'think' it will still be a rejection at present. however the wolves are running it will be interesting to see how the next 2 weeks go. It comes down to whether a premiership club will chance the 8 million.

8million for Rhodes taking the Michael he ain't worth that. We should just move on and get billy sharp in and another winger.

Fair play to huddersfield their entitled to ask for what they want, but nobody should be willing to pay that.

The price is set to ward clubs off. Agreed so far what he has done although extraordinary has been done in the 3rd tier of English football and therefore does not warrant an initial 8 million.

Any market value though is set by the price someone is will to sell and the price someone is willing to pay. We adamantly will not sell, we don't to sell and we don't need to sell. Rhodes is a decent young man and will not push for a move or rock the boat. His contact is ling until 2015. We can therefore say whatever price we like, 8 million to ward of interest and if someone is daft enough to offer 8 million, then we will consider it. But still not necessarily sell.

the 7 million from Fulham though, will be given some serious thought.

If Huddersfield get £7m+ then congratulations to them, I'd be suprised if he does go for that much. Regardless, I hope he does well whether he stays at Huddersfield or moves onto a PL/Championship team, he seems like a nice lad. I think Rodriguez is a better player who went for around £6m, if Rhodes was to score 15+ goals this season then he would warrant such a high price

Hi, my reference to this yesterday

my only concern, and I can only be truthful, I've never been a stuck-in-the-mud is I have become aware that a premiership team has come in with a bid that is close to our valuation. The offer has not been accepted but at the same time, a bid from a premiership team and the club being a good fit for Rhodes makes it more difficult to turn down.

this is not in the press. If he does go I will honour my bets and send that lad a tenner. The £50 bet to charity on Town finishing above Blackburn is still on though.

Let them demand and reject whatever fees they want to. If they want to reject 20 million and demand 100 million, that would be entirely their prerogative. We have no right to get annoyed about it. The only people they have to explain themselves to is the player and the bank. Potentially shareholders, but that doesn't sound like it's the case here. As long as those people are satisfied, so be it. I don't think the player is going to be happy if they reject a serious and substantial Premiership bid though.

Can't believe we have been so tactically inept to waste so much time on someone who was always unlikely to come..............................ohwait yes I can!

Par for the course, I'm afraid. I can't imagine we've ever been in serious danger of ever signing him, but I suppose stranger things have happened.
