to clarify things.

Rhodes really does have a minor hamstring injury picked up while playing for Scotland. Lavien confirmed. He felt fine on the Thursday but on the mid morning session on the Friday before the game, he felt it tighten again and went for a scan at the Cardiff hospital. it was shown that he has a grade 1 tear ( A minor pulled muscle), will be fine if rested for a week but if he played then he could be out for the month to 6 weeks. He is doubtful for the forest game tomorrow night.

The valuation of Rhodes is £8 million and until that is met there is no negotiation. Fulham have got close at a combined £7.5 Million but are not there yet.

Huddersfield will not sell to a divisional rival even if the £8 million is met.

Since the beginning of Blackburns interest these basic criteria have not changed and aren't going to.

Incidentally Blackburns rather shabby attempts to unsettle the player and lie in public has not been well received and been seen in a very dim light. This will have ramifications on any other future deals. your marked as a club not to be trusted.

That's the state of play. 11 days to go. I remain confident that Rhodes will still be a Town player at the beginning of Sept.

I hope they lose him and get relegated.

A bit harsh.

Always had a soft spot for 'the Terriers' and remember them clinching promotion to the old 1st Division some 40 odd years ago at Ewood Park, managed by Ian Greaves and spearheaded by a certain Frank Worthington - now he was a centre forward.

Some good friends in that part of Yorkshire.

Hmm...not quite.

Every player is for sale at some price.

If Rovers (or whoever) offer the right money, Huddersfield won't have any choice but to sell.

And the lad won't turn down a move to a bigger club, to be on a larger salary, irrespective of what division both clubs are in.

Probably was a bit harsh tbf mercer. Apologies to Ben as I have nothing against Huddersfield at all. However if they do go down its one less spot for us to worry about

I could actually see Kean managing to take us down again. He really is that bad!!

Was there the day he did this

pity it was on itv or it would have been be goal of the season.

Had his own following who would go and watch him at every club he played at. Bill Maynard (Selwyn Froggitt) was one, sat next to me that day! #hero

Aye Town have [developed] a few great strikers through the years. The greatest was a young Dennis Law who come through at 15. We sold him to united to pay for set of floodlights for Leeds road. To be fair I think it was a British record at the time.then came Franke Worthington and now young Jordan Rhodes. I''ve missed a few in between... Andy booth, Duncan shearer, Marcus Stewart, Iwan Roberts etc.

I think you've been concentrating too hard on League 1 for the past twelve months Ben. Our club hasn't been deemed trustworthy for a long time.

Exactly, do you think Fulham would sell their main front-man and replace and spend all of their money on a lad who has only played in league 1 he's not even proven in the Championship yet! Fulham probably won't go higher than the 2m plus add ons and he would be bought as a young 'un with potential

If Rovers stop messing about and actually bid 6million and show HTFC the colour of their money he's a Rovers player!

agreed let me change that to developing.

And Marcus stewart played nearly 200 games for bristol rovers before you produced him. Roberts watford. Duncan Shearer highland league team and chelsea. You appear to have gone all Steve Kean on the facts there Ben.
