glen9mullan Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Brave to claim that we WILL be signing Guidetti. Based on what? Shebby saying so? Why would it be On shebbys say so? I never reveal sources but I do remember having them before Shebby even came to the club.

Ricky Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I'm now actually hoping we don't get Rhodes!!! Guidetti has always been the better option subject to his fitness.
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Why would it be On shebbys say so? I never reveal sources but I do remember having them before Shebby even came to the club. Surely after Shabby's latest showing on Talksport you cannot take anything he says as truthful Glen? It is indeed brave to state that Guidetti WILL be signing, I hope it happens but I am extremely doubtful.
budha Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Why would it be On shebbys say so? I never reveal sources but I do remember having them before Shebby even came to the club. Since you apparently speak to him quite frequently? Didn't mean anything negative towards you, just wondering if you were making quite bold claims just based on that Shebby had said we WILL sign him. Which would need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Eddie Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I've always preferred Guidetti, although it would be nice if it was on a permanent basis, or at least a loan with an option to buy.
dwayne cage Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Guidetti is good but it's worryinfg how bad his illness was and if it has the ability to return. To ben, dude that was a long speech I just can't be bothered reading that much. I am sure it was pretty much the same old stuff about "no selling to rivals" "defo not coming Rovers" "not to get our hopes up" and "good luck in the future". Good luck to you as well. 1 point from 2 games is a bad start but keep Rhodes and who knows.

I know mate, i tend to triple check any stories with a number of people before I make bold claims . With so many lies and false promises I get very sceptical with transfers , but this one would have happened previously had we not chucked everything at getting Rhodes . Best scenario is we sign both , but I'm greedy :-)
heysham rover Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Guidetti is supposedly out until mid October at best.
dwayne cage Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Wonder what illness he had to lose all feeling in his foot?
Hi Mack Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Guidetti is at Brockhall now.................. He CANT be injured surely!
TugaysMarlboro Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Guidetti is at Brockhall now.................. He CANT be injured surely! He is?
rhodie Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I seem to recall Guidetti being offered to us before the Rhodes saga.Much better and less hassle signing him by all accounts.
sharpysharps Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Not sure it is Guidetti at Brockhall but Kamy has tweeted that Rovers supposedly have a striker from the prem at brockhall to sign on loan. Nicko is saying its a young striker and not a particularly exciting one either. Its time for the guessing games to beging again!
heysham rover Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Guidetti had an infected nerve which caused him to miss the Euros.
Lathund Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Wonder what illness he had to lose all feeling in his foot? He had some virus, some kind of stomach flu. Which in itself is rarely much of a problem, but it spread to a nerve which resulted in him losing feeling and a lot of muscle in one leg. I would think that the virus itself has been gone a while, but deenervated muscles wither away fast, much much faster than through inactivity, like if you're in a cast. So to get back to full strength takes time.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 To be fair, don't think Ben deserves to get all that stick. That's his best post to date, and hard to disagree with any of it. The stick is possibly a bit too much but it's just a bit frustrating for people to read exactly the same post 40 times.......I like when opposition fans are on here, ffan is good, it's funny watching dingles getting ripped and that Liverpool fan, Darwen End, was a typical Liverpool deluded idiot but it was funny......I just don't understand why he needs to constantly repeat the same 3/4 phrases over and over again....it's almost like he is convincing himself. So we'll have 2 decent strikers? I wish we'd either pay Huddersfield what they want for Rhodes or or if it is a genuine non starter stop wasting our time and look elsewhere. Someone mentioned Kenwyne Jones yesterday who I think would be an excellent shout. Although I do seem to have it in the back of my mind he's also a bit injury prone. Is that right? Jones has played at least 30 games in each of the last 5 seasons......maybe he has been injured a couple of times, and I might remember an occasion, but everybody does sometimes. Nice one for that.......can you give any indication on how long he might be out for.........and I am also of the opinion that I'd rather have Guidetti than Rhodes.
Lathund Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Back in May/June when he was ruled out of the Euros I would've thought he'd be back by now. I've heard it said "soon", September, October... none are implausible really. So yeah, I might be Swedish and know a fair bit about medicine, but I know as little as the rest of you
adsfortheblues Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Just seen David bentley in his 4x4 with what looked like his mrs and kids. Anyone know anything? And yes I am serious. And considering the reg was B3ntley I'm sure it was him
Atomicrover Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Isn't that too many letters/numbers for a number plate?
