It is a risk but all signings are. Just look at Best who has backfired badly. He's had injury problems to his knees in the past and we signed him for £3 million at 35k pw.

Just as an aside I have many friends who are Yeovil fans so they've seen a lot of Rhodes and they're convinved he'll be a big premier league player in years to come.

Being someone who also follows Yeovil, from what I've seen and opinions I've heard from fellow supporters, he does look special. He's a cut above what's in League one, and should make the step up to the Championship fairly easily imo. Whether he's worth 6M plus, I don't know, but if he scored 20+ goals and gains us promotion, then it'll be worth it.

He's young, British, full of confidence and wants to prove himself as a top striker - I for one am happy to take that risk.

With all due respect to Huddersfield, Rovers has to be classed as a step up. We may not be as big as we once were but we are bigger than Huddersfield.
