Ferrit Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 a fiver, packet of tic-tacs and a curly wurly Sounds like we got a good deal out of it.
LeChuck Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I actually think we're very close to having a really good starting XI: ................... Robinson Orr ....... Dann .... Givet ..... Warnock ........... Etuhu ........ Murphy .. Richards .... ????? ......... Olsson ....................... Best The ????? can be filled by numerous players depending on the game; Gomes if we're more attacking, Pedersen if we want someone to work hard, Rochina if we want to play a wildcard, Dunn if we're feeling nostalgic. The problem is that it falls down a bit with Best out of the team. Kazim-Richards is doing a good job of replacing him, but we have no-one to give us pace on the right wing. Nunes seems a decent prospect but isn't ready to be starting every week. Still, I'm starting to feel more confident about this season...even with Kean in charge.

The damage that man has done to our club will NEVER be forgotten!!
Tootell Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Did I read something about rovers being interested in a loan move for chamackh or have I been dreaming.
Eddie Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 That came up a week or so ago, but nothing to it.
Rovers_Dan Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 can really see chamakh wanting to play infront of 13000. pure ego that guy and he's got a weasel attached to his head
dwayne cage Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Chamakh would never consider a move to us. Far too good and far too egotistical to drop down a division and play in front of a crowd of 13,000 in a ground that holds over 31,000. The papers were foolish to even print such sh1t

philipl Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 First time I have looked in transfer thread all window. For what it is worth. Rovers have about £5m and up to £50k per week allocated for spending left from the Indian loan secured against Daddy's land. That in my opinion would be enough to lock in promotion this season. We don't have any staff capable of spending it sensibly. On the outgoings there is a mismatch between the sort of clubs looking at Olsson, Nzonzi, MGP et al and the sort of clubs they would like to go to so this is all a lot of a lottery. Rochina is being actively touted around but whether his non-agent is doing so with the club's blessing is another matter. Fans shouldn't "spend" transfer monies not yet received because outgoings are more than likely to be loans now.

(Not that this is seemingly a possibility anyway).
Mozzer Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 hopefully the rumours of warnock coming back are true - we never replaced him proper when he left us also we need a right winger - we cant be playing formica and lowe out there ..maybe a cheeky loan move for bentley on loan ??
dwayne cage Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Cryer seems to think unless someone bids 5m or more Olsson is staying put, Kazim if we get a striker in can play winger. The thing we need is a striker though. If Olsson stays Warnock will not be coming.
Backroom Tom Posted August 24, 2012 Backroom Posted August 24, 2012 If Kazim is out for six weeks it really is urgent that we get a decent striker in ASAP now
dwayne cage Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 If Kazim is out for six weeks it really is urgent that we get a decent striker in ASAP now Is that how long he's injured for? Kean was only saying the other day he didnt look that bad
Sparky Marky Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Is that how long he's injured for? Kean was only saying the other day he didnt look that bad Kean's a clueless prick though.....
bluefred Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 If Kazim is out for six weeks it really is urgent that we get a decent striker in ASAP now how about maynard on loan from west ham ?
OJRovers Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 How much are we getting from QPR for Hoillet? Given the stupid prices in the premiership, I don't blame the owners for wanting big money for Ollson/nzonzi
67splitscreen Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 According to the Nicko, Wickham has been cleared for loan by S/Land, got until midnight to register for tomorrow.
