dingles staying down 4ever Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 There are 3 forwards in this list who are available who could do a job. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/queens-park-rangers-force-out-1279025
sharpysharps Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I think the crouch to wolves link is fake after a very brief twitter investigation. Anyone got any guesses as to who the centre half is that rovers want? There are 3 forwards in this list who are available who could do a job. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/queens-park-rangers-force-out-1279025 I'd take Bothroyd or Campbell.
Hekla Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I'll guess with Christophe Berra, Scottish connections.
OJRovers Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Is Martin Ollson going to stay? Would be brilliant is he does. If not surely we need a proper left back?
roverandout Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 why do rovers always leave things to the last minute? always digging their heels in, most clubs get the bulk of their business done around july, early august and rovers always end up panic buying why is the rhodes topic locked? nicko and a few others seem to think it hasnt run its course yet
Hekla Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Rhodes won't be signing that's why, no chance. I'd say we've signed some good players this window, just unfortunate to lose two good strikers to injury. We've had no choice but to make a last rush for a striker.

Thus ending up with no one and putting a positive spin on it. Rhodes won't be signing that's why, no chance. On that reason we might as well close the Lambert thread as well!
callumrovers Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 We are only after 1 striker. Kaz has said hes aiming to be fit for Leeds match. I hope we bring in a quality striker. I would rather Rovers spend longer on looking for a good striker than them buying some garbage.

Fraserkirky Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Nickolas Bentner should be the guy were after.
Ricky Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 no we shouldn't I'd take any of the QPR players being forced out
Mercer Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Would not surprise me at all to see Givet leave (Villa, Southampton or back to France) hence the new centre half being touted about. I also think that Nzonzi & Olsson will leave in last minute deals. Feels like we will be scrambling about again at the death with the likes of the new 'Modeste' being introduced as 'saviours'.
T.J.Newton Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Christ!!!, Brfcs has just turned into a massive miserable bitch fest lately, think ill just stick with vital forums&twitter from now on.
Fraserkirky Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 no we shouldn't I'd take any of the QPR players being forced out Why's that? He's better than the QPR dross that your keen on, plus he's a big guy that can hold the ball up.
dwayne cage Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 That really surprises me. Isn't he stokes number 1 striker?
watford-rover Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Nickolas Bentner should be the guy were after. IMO his ego is way to big for the championship, he seems himself as champions league.
dwayne cage Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Bentner has the biggest ego for someone with the most average talent. I doubt he'd go to Reading, Norwich or Southampton nevermind a Championship club. He can score some magical goals and then a huge amount of games missing sitters and blasting it over from shots miles out which could provide a goal scoring opportunity if he passed.
Ricky Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 his Ego would never allow him to play outside of the top league. That's what I was basing my answer on. The QPR players would all play at this level and have done before.
dwayne cage Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Carry on the way their going they'll playing this level again. A hammering and a draw from two teams you would expect them to beat. Poor Sparky
67splitscreen Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Think the CH could be Hughes, even though he has been starting for FFC, would appease Kean if he gets another of his own picks. Another poss Leon Barnett CH, RB, LB, MF right up our street.
dwayne cage Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I can see Scott Dann going if another centre back comes in.
Brfcrule1 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I agree with most on here we really should be looking at players like Bothroyd and Campbell who have been released by QPR. Both are proven at this level both have scored goals for fun with Cardiff & Blackpool respectively and would no doubt be able to hit the ground running. However I do believe Sheff Utd were struggling to acquire Bothroyd because he was looking for the same wages he was on at QPR at 30 grand a week so how feasible that is I don't know. Campbell might be more within reach but hey we obviously love paying top wages. One thing that is a plus is they would not need anytime to adapt as they are experienced at this level and it would leave more dosh in the pot for other more important positions.
