Which well known sports agencies have an office in Portugal ? worth remembering that statement by Mrs D obviously written by herself due to her 10 minute knowledge of world football about young players and loans. Looks like the "owners" are pressing ahead with their plans

Personally - other than yet another Portuguese player - don't read too much into this. He could be a total nobody, or somebody with prospects - but as isn't a big name Nicko ain't interested. All doesn't necessarily mean that he is a bad player.

What is our fasination with Portugal? In regards to Olsson and N'Zonzi both are totally over rated.

Plus Stevie boys glittering 6 month spell there where no doubt he is still looked upon in god like stature and then there's some really really good footy agents operating there as well

did we ever expect this summer to end up any other way? so far, in my opinion, transfer wise it has been a poor one, murphy, decent player but legs have gone, etuhu is a limited but hard-working player and gomes is really an impact player. The rest arent even worth mentioning and now we are after another portugese no-mark, on top of that we have messed about so much with unrealistic striker targets that we will probably end up with another second rate forward on loan or on the cheap. This will come back and bite us in the arse.

You missed Best off that list - who had actually looked the best in pre-season prior to injury.

Murphy - was never the quickest, so can hardly say his legs have gone - he is however struggling to get to grips with the Championship - personally I put a lot of that down to poor tactics, as well as him being heavily marked by the opposition.

Etuhu - though limited is exactly the type of player we have been missing for a while.

Gomes - totally agree more of an impact player - but still has a touch of class.

The three portuguese youngsters are IMO a mixed bag - Nunes looks promising, Jorge looked tidy in pre-season, Edinho has so far looked out of his depth (but it is a big culture change).

Up to now I think it has been a reasonable window - and possibly far better than many expected under the Venky's. How good a window it ends up being will obviously depend on the next few days.

I'm satisfied with the window so far. Time for it to change of course but even with Olsson and N'Zonzi possibly leaving, some decent transfer fees could compensate. If we kept Olsson I honestly think we'll blitz some teams.

Getting decent transfer fees for players aren't any good unless they are put to good use on bringing in decent players in positions we actually need to fill.

Kyle Bartley like bentley is on the fringes of the arsenal team, they want rid and is available for 1.5 million, i have a mate who knows him and has said when this lad was at bolton he was the best player he has ever trained with. He might not be good enough at Champions league level but championship level he would be a steal!

Yaya Banana at Sochaux - Kurt Zouma is already going to UTD so get the second best defensive prospect behind Sakho, this lad is a tower of a defender, powerful in the tackle and a steal waiting to be had.

Other than Lucas, all need regular games and could be nominal permanant fees.

Getting decent transfer fees for players aren't any good unless they are put to good use on bringing in decent players in positions we actually need to fill.

Or offsetting other necessary outgoings at the club in order to make us sustainable, but generally I do agree with you.

Signing all these nondescript young players from Portugal does not send out the right message to the Academy lads or to potential recruits to our Academy.

Frankly, IMO, it's baffling and a nonsense.

I think I read he signed for Swansea the other day. And he wasn't very good for Rangers.....at all. I definitely wouldn't have wanted him......tried to play the hard man as well, comes across as a knob tbh.
