Why is it they call you WaKKo?

Well if his family is settled and we pay him enough why not? He is the 5 in line to play at united. Even if it was on loan until January would be a chance for him to put himself in the shop window. What have we got to lose? Remember most of you thought the same thing about Murphy but he and his family wanted to move home. It's no worse an idea of those going on about Owen.

Only pulling your leg mate. Not that i can see a bid for Berbatov coming to fruition. Aren't Juve sniffing around? And i'm pretty certain even what Rovers term as 'big' money would be approx 50% of what he earns or is looking to earn as a minimum. Berbatov is a class act and the type of player that he is means he's got at least 3 years left at the top table. He would look right at home at Arsenal for instance. I'm afraid we can only hope to attract anybody of that calibre if they are well over the hill, ala Gomes. I personally think we're wasting our time with Lambert so i'm certain Berbatov's agent wouldn't even answer the phone when he saw the area code.

In Spain they don't touch each other. RSC wouldn't last two minutes in the Championship.

Interesting (misguided?) view.

Discipline is certainly much worse in Spain. There is certainly more time to be had on the ball in the middle of the park, up front I'm not so sure.

If you're trying to convince me that Spanish football is more physical than English football, or that La Liga is more physical than The Championship, then you're going to need some Rohypnole.

Your forgetting the Barca 7 second rule then!!

Berbatov would be ideal for Arsenal!!

'In Spain they don't touch each other.' was what I take exception too. I am not suggesting it is more physical, but someone who argues that they don't touch each other in Spain clearly doesn't watch spanish football.

And somebody who takes such a statement so literally clearly doesn't belong on a virtual forum.

The fact that it is so far from the truth was what I found interesting. If a player can play a full season in La Liga, then they are more than capable of playing a bit part role for Blackburn Rovers, and the riggers of the Championship. Given that players like Kevin Phillips managed 36 league apps last season (barmby making 31 apps the year before) I am sure he is qualified to play a role of the bench after playing a season in La Liga.

So you're ignoring the fact that for his entire career RSC has been a crock? I think two games per week in an extremely physical league would be far too much for his glass knees/ groin to handle.

He could score 40 goals in the C'ship and it wouldn't really be putting himself in the shop window though......he has previously been top scorer in the Prem and I think he was 2nd in the Bundesliga the season before he went to Spurs......if he scored loads for us, it wouldn't tell clubs anything else that they didn't already know.

Murphy is 35 so it's very different.....Berbatov is in his prime and probably likes playing in Europe, not Barnsley......Owen is a terrible idea anyway.....injury prone and hasn't been the same player since about 2006.....well since 1998 really.

Tottenham close to a deal for Lloris from Lyon. Would it be worth a bid for Brad Friedel if they get him? I'd love to see him back here, he was a hero.

Not a snowball in hell's chance.

Brad is very diplomatic but if you were having a one to one with him, I don't think there would be too many kind words for our owners and manager.
