If you do nothing else today you should watch this video.

Not only does it show slow motion replays of long aimless balls forward and row Z clearances, it is also accompanied by my all time favourite bestest song in the world ever ever ever!

I must say, he has an impressive back pass in his repertoire.

what a depressing summer of transfers for rovers, we have no chance of going back up with the shower of ###### we have brought in/going to bring in so far!!!

Seriously? Etuhu and Kazim Richards have settled really well and had an immediate impact, Best was doing well until his injury, Murphy is simply short of match fitness and the two young lads who debuted have only had 45mins each.

Only signed for a club this summer and available, 6th Portuguese signing?

Something stinks

Agree with this.

yes steve kean, stinks of pigshit

who bought samba and nelsen? mark hughes, who is buying all these portugese players steve kean, i rest my case

What is your case? They were both unknown and nobody got excited.

I'm not liking the all the Portugese signings however I cannot complain about the overall transfer business we've conducted. If anything our squad is arguably stronger then it was last season. Danny Murphy, Etuhu, Nuno Gomes, Leon Best and Kazim Richards are all very decent signings. We probably now have the best squad in the division. Give us a proper manager and I'd really fancy our chances.

i said etuhu is ok, but none of these players will help us go up, we need quality not quantity, we still lack a class striker and by the sounds of it we rooting in the bargain basement bin again as we have wasted so much time trying to get stuff of the top shelf.

But in fairness our class striker did his cruciate and we bought him early on. Going off what I saw, Nunes looks to have the makings of a decent player - the others I can't comment on. I like the last week of the transfer window, fingers crossed we'll strengthen what is already a decent Championship squad. I think Olsson and N'Zonzi are nailed on to go and I wouldn't be suprised if we loan or buy a player from whichever team they join. I'd also brace yourself for Dann or Givet going though...I know who I'd prefer.

i have no problem with the likes of murphy and etuhu, its all these portugeese players they are bringing in, something not right there. Shebby and kean should keep their traps shut about the likes of rhodes if they had no intention of signing them, it just leads to disappointment when we end up with a second rate striker come the end of the transfer window

I agree about the Portugese lads, I don't see why we have to buy half a dozen of them. But Murphy, Etuhu, Best, Kazim Richards and Nuno Gomes are all very decent players and so long as one or two of the Portugese kids make the step up then I'm fairly happy with our business. The Rhodes saga was a fiasco. He's not a bad player but he's never worth the money that it would have taken the club to buy him.

Totally agree, plus didn't think a player could now have 2 moves in a transfer window.

Well the head coach of the Vietnamese Footy team is Portuguese and seemingly a Venky's spokesman in Vietnam where they have expanded recently http://www.thailand4...52bc54e811fd41/

Plus Stevie boys glittering 6 month spell there where no doubt he is still looked upon in god like stature and then there's some really really good footy agents operating there as well

Buy Cheap - shop window - sell at small profit - increase work and profit for agents - repeat

Looks like PerthBlue got this spot on.Presume he's something to do with this guy.Quite frightening.

I hope someone asks Shebby the question publically if some or all these players share the same agency and if not then what is the rationale behind bringing in a handful of young unproven players from Portugal

I notice an agency we have used in the past lists an office in Portugal on their website, I presume this to be purely coincidental though of course.

Has anyone heard of us sending scouts out onto the continent?

There is no rule about transferring from one club to another twice in the same window. The rule is about how many clubs you can PLAY for. And if I remember rightly, you can't make first team appearances (I don't think friendlies count) for MORE than 2 clubs in a calendar year. Though it might be a season, not hundred percent sure.
