Summer Transfer Window - Part 2

I'm wondering what it is with our newfound obsession not only with Portuguese players, but ones with 'Nun' in their names. Nuno, Nunes and again, Nuno. Wonder if this 'nun' business is something to do with celibacy and attempting to not get f.ucked as much as last season...

Here is one for you:

SEM are owned by Kentaro who also have a share in swedish agency Northern Sky.

Listed in their portfolio of players are

John Guidetti - transfer target

Stephen Warnock - transfer target

Numerous unknown Portuguese players playing domestically in portugal. - Suspiciously allot of players based in portugal with an office their....

Axel Witsel -ex transfer target

Myles Anderson - son of JA

Nick Blackman - ex rover

Branco - Brought in on trial last summer.

Offices in rio di janeiro (Brazil) didn't we have a brazillian agent working for venky's? who recommended Bruno Ribeiro? Ronaldinho?

See link , big new office - http://www.sportbusi...f-brazil-office

Seems like Keano gets a hand maybe with transfer targets?

This is a list of agent rules and representation rules from the F.A.

If Clubs have a contract with an Agent or Solicitor,

that individual must act for them only and look after

their interests in any negotiation. The individual

must not also act for the Player or any other Club

involved; (C.1) - But Jerome acted for Venkys but then renewed player contracts and Steve Kean.

A Club cannot use an Agent in relation to a Player

where the Agent (or any connected Agent) has

acted for the Player during the previous 2 transfer

windows (“switching”); (C.2)

• If an Agent acts for the Club in a transaction

involving a Player, the Agent will not be permitted to

act for a Club in relation to that Player (i) in the next

transaction involving the same player or (ii) for a

period of two transfer windows. This will prevent

Agents from “shadow” representing Players

through their careers and seeking payments from

Clubs (i.e. repeatedly claiming to act for a Club

when in fact the Agent is the Player’s Agent); (C.3)

• A Club cannot use an Agent in relation to a Player

where the Agent (or any connected Agent) has

acted in relation to the Player’s commercial rights

during the previous 2 transfer windows. (C.5)

Owning shares in an agency

Clubs, Club Officials or Managers must not own any

interest or shares in agencies (over a 5% limit). Can they own football clubs or players in portugal though?

Club Officials

• Clubs must use reasonable endeavours to ensure

that their Players and staff (including Managers)

comply with the Regulations.

Contracts

• If Clubs use an Agent or Solicitor they must have a

written contract in place. They must ensure that

they get a copy of the contract, that it is signed,

dated and submitted to The FA within 5 days of

execution (or at the time of a transaction if that is

within the 5 days); (B.1 & B.9)

• Clubs must only enter into representation contracts

with Authorised Agents as individuals, and not with

the company or practice. It is the contracted

individual who should carry out the Agency Activity

and not another individual from the same company;

(App II)

A Club’s contract with an agent must not be for a

period of more than two years. - Do SEM still act for any BRFC transfers including Portuguese players?

Now perhaps that sheds light to those who know more than me... It just seems a bit coincidental.Of course the is probably nothing in it...

If there ever will be a new manager he starts with cleaning all these Portuguese off the books. Big Sam had French connections and brought in some but it never was like this. Just wonder what the dressing room think, the squad is hardly united. Not many of these Portuguese lads will have anything to do with the first team though.

There might be a logical reason for all these Portuguese signings, Kean is apparently fluent in talking ###### in portuguese as well as Scottish, so will be easier for him to tell half the team to sit back, don't attack or shoot etc with the other half not understanding a word or even less than they do now.

And the chants will be up the Sardines - Rovers are gone!!

How must the young players in our academy feel - Is it possible for Kamy to make some sort of comment to the press regarding the bringing in of foreign youngsters, as apposed to blooding our own?

We should also hold some sort of record of these boys performances. For example why did Edinho start in front of goodie? Maybe Good-willie isn't that good, but he certainly has a lot more experience and had more of an influence on the game.

Only the most inept or corrupt manager would make this decision.

Its very similar to the fashion we play Jason Lowe out of position every week. The guy looked solid in the prem at Right back, yet when we are in need of a left back, the "great one" decides to play his more experienced full back (Orr) on the right hand side.

Leaving Jason out of position, not a defender or left footed. Nobody mentioned the own goal, when a left footed player would of cleared/had his back to goal etc.

One could describe Kean's team selections and transfers as "influenced"

Has anyone else noticed that the size of our squad is HUGE? We easily have two players for each position with quite a few left over. If we'd put that amount of wages into quality not quantity then I'm sure we'd have a better chance of promotion.

............... Robinson ......................................... Sandomierski

Ribeiro Dann Givet Ms. Olsson .......... Orr . Hanley . Henrique . Henley

........... Murphy . Etuhu ................................ Dunn ....... Lowe

Richards Gomes Pedersen ................ Formica Rochina . Nunes

.................. Best ............................................... Goodwillie

That's ignoring Martin Olsson, N'Zonzi and Vukcevic as they seem unselectable at the moment. That trio must be on a packet. Then on top of the above we have Kean, Morris, Jorge, Linganzi, Cotton & Edinho.

Most clubs try to downsize when they get relegated, we seem to have gone the other way. I reckon at least half of that second XI would get into 90% of other Championship teams.

It is easy to forget about Adam - remember SK chose a 17 year old in front of Bruno, Myles etc

Now, being in a "easier" division - he would rather play a right footed central midfielder at left back. Instead of giving our up and coming players game time. Sheer Lunacy

Does anyone know if Henley is fit or not ?

Looks like there is indeed a partnership between Anderson and Kean in trying to enrich themselves by buying shed loads of Portuguese dobbins, using Blackburn to advertise the availability of other players etc. And Venky's are so utterly inept and cretinous that they go along with being ripped off.

At least that is my personal opinion looking at it from the outside, and not that of this site (does that cover the legal bit?).

I'm not liking the all the Portugese signings however I cannot complain about the overall transfer business we've conducted. If anything our squad is arguably stronger then it was last season. Danny Murphy, Etuhu, Nuno Gomes, Leon Best and Kazim Richards are all very decent signings. We probably now have the best squad in the division. Give us a proper manager and I'd really fancy our chances.

Two seasons ago, we could field a reserve side against Championship clubs and outplay them with ease. According to some fans every transfer window we've had since has seen us strengthen the squad. What does that tell us?

Let's face it even if Shebby brought in Rhodes or another striker, Kean won't pick them anyway ahead of any of 'his' signings.

If I was Rhodes, I'd be thinking that maybe I wouldn't get a game when Best is fit again.

He played a weak 19 year old ahead of Goodwillie and Formica,Rochina,Vukcevic,Petrovic haven't had much of a look in since they joined.

Bring back Jason Roberts on loan, could still do a job in the short term.

Aye, I bet Roberts is itching to get back to the club that froze him out of team due to contractual reasons.

Still, not as daft a suggestion as Berbatov and Bendtner that have been offered on here in the last 48 hours. :)
