Rhodes isn't going to solve our problems on his own. He's a penalty box player and we don't get into the penalty box. We need footballers all over the park at the moment.

I agree…..We should use the players who dont want to be here....

Id go to Sunderland & offer them Olsson in exchange for Kieran Richardson (PERM) and Wickham on loan.

Id then go to Stoke and offer them a swap for K Jones with NZonzi.

Id then look at how best to use our money, and see if we can get a midfield battler/ box to box player….someone in the mould of Joey Barton, but not so much a n0b head.

That wouldn't happen.

Very true, players like him need the ball pinging in to them. We need to get Olsson beating that first man with his crosses and get some balls in from the right. I think the players are on the books to do it in this league, sadly the tactics aren't.

Spending up to £8million on Rhodes is absolute financial suicide for Blackburn Rovers if you ask me. We could have got Simon Cox for 2 million and then spent another 2 million on a left back.

I fear for this club's financial future if this deal happens. This kind of money on one player should not be spent during Steve Kean's reign as manager.

Its because Kean has followed your model of selling anyone that says boo to him, that we're playing in the Championship and getting beaten by MK Dons in the league cup.

One of the first things I was always taught in football, was as a team, you have to turn the defence so they are facing their own goal, Lowes Own Goal was because opponents got round the back of the defence and the delivery into the box was a poachers dream and a defenders nightmare, if Lowe hadnt got to the ball, the opposing striker would have. Kean is selecting no one who can do that.

To play a counter attacking game, you need lots of pace, O'Neil had it at Villa and they were so dangerous on the counter, with Rovers under Kean, we cant counter and are so vulnerable when opponents counter, maybe a little less this year due to both Murphy and Etuhu protecting the back four but that means we havent enough bodies forward when on the offensive!!

Whoever we sign as a striker, we have neither balance or pace!!

The olny reason to go back rhodes is so the fat pig can blame the clubs failure to get buy him as the reason for our crap season ahead.

He is scum of the highest order and everything he does is to keep him in his high paying job.

There is no point at all in applying any kind of logic to any club where the fat blad pig faced monkey is employed.

All we can hope is that somehow someway something weird happens to the chicken witch and he finally gets whats been coming to him for 2 years.

This transfer window like the last has been a complete joke!

Surely that can't have been one of the first things you were taught. I was kicking the ball around at the age of about two but didn't learn that until I was about 9 or ten.

My model? My model is to get rid of deadwood, and REPLACE them with quality, not dross.

As opposed to nit-picking over the words why not for a change make a comment on the message?

Trouble is your footballing knowledge equates to the same level as the morning pooh I just flushed down the toilet.

Braddock, why have you got Mercerman's quote as your sig? Are you taking the pish cos I can quite go with Wednesday going very close this season. He's right, Jones is a half decent manager and they'll have 30k + roaring them on in most games, they could prove quite formidable.

On the potential transfer front, Wickham is abysmal. Extremely slow, second touch is a tackle, poor in the air and a lack of movement that Goodwillie would be proud of. How Bruce saw fit to pay circa 10 million for him is quite incredible.

I can only re-iterate what most on here are now saying about our squad, it has no-one with the pace and the guile to stretch any defence at any level. Only when this is remedied (and obviously the manager disposed of... in any way I'm not fussy) can we even think about the play offs.

It's not an attack of any form. I just wanted to see if he was right. I won't remember unless I put it in my sig though.

On the evidence of the first four matches you are right. Rhodes is going to get bored waiting for non existent service.

Hughesy, You know I admire you, your passion and enthusiasm, but you are living in a dream world.

The situation Rovers are in is hopeless (I'm talking thelonger prognosis not the 7pts out of 9 rhetoric).

Youre still talking like we have Williams and Mark Hughes at the club!

Everything is turning to sh.it.
