T4E, ada2020 & Pedro - look, this is a MB whose purpose, I think, is for fans to offer opinion and share gossip and speculation. I don't profess to be ITK but offer what I hear, if it's the sort of thing that can be shared on a MB, in good faith. Over recent times, I've tried to post less overtly in order to avoid the almost inevitable counters of 'name your source' or 'your record's sh1te'. It's no skin off my nose but the reaction of some on here could well deter the less thick skinned from posting what they might know and what just might be of interest to users of this MB.

I think you need to work out my question mate, I genuinely don't care who your source is - just taking the wee.

In other words you've never been proved right? I think the point is that if every bit of speculation you share turns out to be false there is absolutely no value whatsoever in sharing it.

It's early doors but I feel like we've signed a handful of cheap tat that will be gone by next Summer at our expense. This is the guy (or should I say the setup) that's already spunked £23m up the wall on players over the last year or two.

Trust me... it'll take just ONE half-decent signing to have it rammed down our throats how well we did in the transfer window, etc.

Oh, And don't forget my change.

As I said on one of the other threads, on the basis of how they performed last night not a single one of them look remotely half-decent so I don't forsee the opportunity to ram anything down our throats any time soon.

I'm with the previous poster who said, we'd claim to be chasing Rhodes, Stroke boy will say he's been sighted at Brockhall, Twitter will be full of conflicting reports, and then we will end up signing Kevin Phillips on a 3 year contract and/or some Vietnamese numpty our man from Portugal (see the Portuguese Players thread) had shipped over in a container with 400 other random men.

In fairness Mercer has copped an amount of stick for certain things but he has always been consistent in saying he just shares what he hears whether it comes to fruition or not is another matter. I prefer that way to others posters ways of saying something is going to happen but I can't tell you what.

I doubt I am the only one, but I enjoy your posts. Why would it matter who your sources are?

I certainly don't keep a tally of which of your postings are correct.

I find them interesting to read so don't give up.

Understand that Hudders have now accepted new Rovers' bid for Rhodes and is subject to them being able to land 2 targets of their own before noon tomorrow.

hope this is true. would be the goalscorer we need.

People saying we need pace out wide - I agree. However IF (IMO we won't) we got Rhodes then Kazim would offer that option and personally I think he'd excell there.

Wow that's a lot of money for an unproven striker. I just hope he can make the step up.

Big big gamble but one that may just rescue our season.
