RoyRover Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 How many attacking players does one club need We need more strikers now that Best is injured.
T.J.Newton Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Not a bad player, but he is universally known to be an abolutely arrogant big headed gobshiyte(which is why no other uk team will touch him), similar to Diouf(but not as good).
bypass06 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Has had a bit of trouble off the pitch in his time. Despite success on the pitch during the 2009–10 season, Kazim-Richards had an argument with Fenerbahçe fans after being taken off the pitch in a match against İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor.[8]Against Beşiktaş, Kazim-Richards was red carded for swearing at the referee and banned for 4 matches.[9] While serving his ban, on the same night that his team mates lost to Kasimpasa, the media reported Kazim-Richards was out on the town. This report was denied by the Fenerbahçe board who released an official statement. The following day, pictures of Kazim-Richards were released and the Fenerbahçe board rescinded their earlier statement, claiming that Kazim-Richards had lied about his whereabouts which had triggered their denial of the report.[10] In December 2009, Kazim-Richards was also alleged to be involved in a sex scandal.[11] A few days later while speeding to get to his team's training session, Kazim-Richards had a car crash during which he had not worn his seat belt and broke his right wrist: Kazim-Richards denies media claims that he was drunk prior to the accident
arbitro Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 He found his level at Bury. It was almost novelty value that got him his move to Turkey but he was soon found out. I will be extremely disappointed if he gets a deal from Rovers.
dwayne cage Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Face it he's awful http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Kazim_Richards There are his stats. Very unimpressive to be fair.
Eddie Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 He's not really a goalscorer, so to just judge him by how many goals he has scored is not fair.
dwayne cage Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Well it says on Wikipedia striker/right winger. So if we are getting him in as a striker it is totally fair to judge him on his goal scoring stats.
Eddie Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 He always plays off of the other striker and is far more effective as a winger (which is how he is used by Turkey). Always looked decent at Sheffield United. As a squad player he'd be a good addition.

The Rover of Finland Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Been waiting who is the idiot club bringing back to England. Should have known it´s us. Useless.
T.J.Newton Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Is it worth the risk of having somebody so disruptive as just an average squad player, i think thats the point!, it is just a trial game though so hopefully the Shebster will see sense(as happened with Garra Dembele).
Salgado Is A Hero Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 His attitude is what troubles me.....I never watched him in Turkey but he looked alright for Sheff U......but Vukcevic, who I think will leave, is the only player we have who can play wide right so if it's between Kazim-Richards and nobody then we should see what he's like on trial.
davulsukur Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9857369.Turk_set_for_loan_after_impressing_on_Rovers_tour/ Set to join on loan according to Cryer.
Lurid Coat Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I know I'll be in the minority here, but I think this may very well be a decent deal for us. I'd love to see Simon as our main right midfielder/winger, but CKR may provide solid back-up (or even push for a starting place). Several West Ham fans over at KUMB.com were impressed by his efforts when on trial with them earlier this summer.
rovers11 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Better options out there imo. Not really a target man in the same mould as Best. I suppose they are saving all their cash for the Rhodes signing hence a cheap signing in Kazim-Richards.
alexanders Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I have always been fond of Turkey and turkish players. I remember enjoying Kazim-Kazim at the turkish national team during the 2008 Euros I think. I also play with Galatasaray SK on Fifa sometimes as they are my favourite turkish team. On FIFA (which is very accurate) he plays on the left wing. IF Kazim-Kazim who is quite pacey and also has decent technique is an alternative to Marcus Olsson I for one will be very happy. I dont think he will be seen as a target man. I think both Kazim - Kazim and Vukcevic suits a 4-2-3-1. That might leave us with this team. Etuhu - Murphy Vukcevic - Nunes/Gamst/Dunn/Formica/Rochina - Kazim Kazim. Striker And before people start slagging me off for being to positive or something I Know that we might see a total different first 11 and vukcevic might not even play. This is just my example of a first 11. I dont know about how Kazim Kazim are concerning his defensive duties, but I think he is a decent loan signing in Championship.
Ricky Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 He's quoted on that article as being 25 and 23?? I'm guessing he's 25 as he seems to have been about for a while
danger19_80 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 If this is in addition to a £4-6m striker (Rhodes or otherwise) i'd be pretty happy with this. Is only a loan for a player at a good age with soemthing to prove in English football. Gives us options on the wing too.
donnermeat Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 But....but.....he's not Portuguese.......I don't understand WHY we're interested in him....
dwayne cage Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I had my doubts about Kazim-Richards but a lot of people seem to think he will be really good so maybe he is worth a shot.
