Brfcrule1 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I know it's a bit late notice but tommorrow's pre-season game against N.E.C Nijmegen is live on 3 foreign channels. I have had it confirmed the Famous 3 kings in West Kensington will be showing the game live from 1.30 in the afternoon. I was wondering are there any rovers fans in London fancy meeting up for a drink?. The place is located in West Kensington the pub is just outside the station they also do lunch in there. It could turn out a good omen as the last time I was in there we were playing Burnley when they were in the prem. when we beat them up at ewood I was in there with a few brfcs members including the famous philipl!. soz mods in advance if there is a problem with the post just thought it would be good to meet up wiv London rovers fans to drown our sorrows after our poor pre-season so far.

Ricky Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 No problem at all with the post. Hope a few people can get to watch it.
the original david brent Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 A mate of mine used to live around the corner from the famous 3 kings. It's a good boozer. The last time I watched a game in there was big sams last game in charge when we got beat by Bolton. If only the same fate would occur with current manager
Waggy76 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 kean doesn't want to lose another in case it triggers the 5 game sack.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Isn't Kean in Scotland due to a family bereavement?
Ossydave Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Someone said on Twitter Kean attacked but I thought he was in Scotland after his wifes mother died. Sounds like a stupid rumour anyway. 'Security Reasons' being banded about as the reason.
DannyKeg Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 In the Dutch Press they are reporting that a group of Rovers fans were attacked on Saturday evening in Deventer by Go Ahead Eagles "Fans". The Mayor of Nijmegen was worried that the same thing would happen this afternoon and as it is a "family day" in Nijmegen where they were expecting 8,000 supporters and there is a separate event for about 500 children, he consulted with the police and "intelligence" suggested that violence could not be ruled out (presumably) from the Nijmegen hooligans ? He decided to call off the game.
cn174 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 It said advnced knowledge of violence between fans on the website. Im pretty sure there's about 20 fans gone at most!
DannyKeg Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 They are also reporting that a group of Rovers fans were also attacked last night in Nijmegen. Sadly, This sort of thing is quite common in Holland, it's a bit like it used to be in the UK in the 60's and 70's. We were at the game in Deventer on Friday and there were about 50 with an average age of 40 - 50.
Ossydave Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Well its ballsed our pre season up further then, still some of you will be happy we can't get beat eh?
Glenn Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 First time I'm glad I missed holland to do Olympics/cork instead.
Guest Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Game is going ahead but closed to the public. It was either that or cancel completely.
AllRoverAsia Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Game is going ahead but closed to the public. It was either that or cancel completely. That will just put the crap on the streets.
Guest Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Local police made the decision on 'public order' grounds.
T.J.Newton Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 That will just put the crap on the streets. Exactly!, at least things can be contained in the ground. Why has nothing been announced officially(that I'm aware of) even Andy Cryers being silent today.
T.J.Newton Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 O sorry just seen the LET article, Says game cancelled, no mention of it being played behind closed doors(which would make no sense).
T.J.Newton Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Andy Cryer just tweeted, Training game will be played elsewhere.
cn174 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Why has nothing been announced officially(that I'm aware of) even Andy Cryers being silent today. Apart from Rovers official site you mean?
