Guest Rovers4Good Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 It's going to be Princes Trust unless they can find one in the next week. There's not too many people willing to put their money down to sponser us due to the owners.

Brfcrule1 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 MG I then have one very pertinent question if they found one ages ago why are they selling our 3 club kits now with no sponsor in the club shop?. I don't wish to offend you MG but to sell the shirts for months now with no sponsor on the shirt is just totally pointless. I have heard various rumours that it will be travelodge and a couple of others. Until I see the shirts with sponsor I refuse to believe we will have a sponsor & they will stick with princes trust. Before you state it takes ages to incorporate the sponsor and patches on the shirt and sleeve. I actually bought last years 2 kits yellow/Black & the Blue/White half shirts before the sponsor was announced. I bought the sponsor from the club shop & prem patches later and sports world incorporated the sponsor and prem patches overnight.
cn174 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 They'll stick the sponsor on if you want it on. That's what happened last year.
AllRoverAsia Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 They thought that they had found one weeks ago. But f**ked it up as usual. A more believable quote

Considering that a sponsor has been agreed upon, things should be moving much more quickly on this front. My dept was involved in finding a sponsor for this year. We were told some time ago to stop looking because one had been found already. To the best of my knowledge, this is still the case. MG
AndyNeil Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Is the sponsor paying, or are they being allowed their name on the front of the shirt for free due to their charitable status?
Baz Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/9446439.Blackburn_Rovers_support_childrens__charity/ Is it this charity?
greco Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 what seems totally illogical, is the fact that venky´s - or so it was said - wanted to use the club to promote their business and if so, why arent venky´s plastered all over our shirt.? could you elaborate on this decision M.G.?

I don't think they're allowed to by the FA rules, or else they definitely would!
67splitscreen Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Amazing that not one Indian company want's to be associated with their fine club.
BrisRover Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 You would have to think Nandos would be an apt sponsor. The combination of Portugese and Chicken.
budha Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I don't think they're allowed to by the FA rules, or else they definitely would! Atleast Ipswich can have Marcus Evans plastered on their shirt.
greco Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I don't think they're allowed to by the FA rules, or else they definitely would! is this true.? weird rule, but that would explain it.
Mc Love Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 What about the charity from up the road? Burnley FC?
Brfcrule1 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 MG I know you probably have to keep it tight lipped but you say they have found a sponsor as a previous poster has asked is it a paying sponsor or a charity? don't worry about stating the name just would like to know if it's paying or not? don't get me wrong it is very admirable to have charity sponsors on the shirt but seeing as though this year we will have reduced income streams we really should be finding paying sponsors.

He's already said its another charity...
Rover_Shaun Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Admirable? GIVING it away to a charity is a fallback as nobody wants to touch us with a bargepole
T.J.Newton Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Would be good to see a more needy local charity on the shirt instead of the usual corporate charities(which theirs nowt wrong with, but ya know).

Non-Paying charity.
Backroom Tom Posted August 11, 2012 Backroom Posted August 11, 2012 East lancs hospice? Can't think of a more local charity although I would like to see Christies on as I said before
T.J.Newton Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Christies would be very good to see, not sure how much it would benefit them though tbh, but it would be a nice gesture.
