Ben-2000 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I believe it is a local charity... which means the paying sponsor deal they actually made progress with must have fallen through.

T.J.Newton Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 if you ran a business of any kind or size would you want to be associated with brfc right now(never mind having to pay millions for the hmm hmm privilege!).
sparky12 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Would love it to be Derian House....cant see it though
cn174 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Noticed today that North End have managed to get themselves a pretty decent sponsor - Magners. But yet we cant get anyone
Gumbi Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 I see we still haven't announced anything regarding a new sponsor despite the fact the new season begins in 2 days and the fact that MG Road said a new charity sponsor had already been found. I can only assume that unless something is announced between now and Saturday, our shirts will be blank for the opening game. I can't see us ever having a paid sponsor while Venky's are in charge as they are probably expecting to be paid the amounts that only teams constantly challenging for the title and playing European football command.
Stuart Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 You have to wonder what they are waiting for. Is the Charity holding our for better terms for being associated with Rovers? Maybe we've offered to have "Huddersfield Town FC" emblazoned on our shirts as one of the "sweeteners" in a Rhodes deal. No wonder they've told us to Go Forth and Multiply...
Backroom Tom Posted August 16, 2012 Backroom Posted August 16, 2012 Didn't we only announce the princes trust agreement the day before the season started last year? I expect people are trying to tie up a deal until the last moment
Stuart Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Yeah, sorry Mr Charitable Organisation, we've had a better offer. Maybe next year, eh?
rog of the rovers Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Still no word. Looks like we will start the season without one.
Gumbi Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 The first we'll probably hear about it is when the team walks out onto the pitch.
Baz Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I think even charities don't want to be associated with Rovers.
Backroom Tom Posted August 17, 2012 Backroom Posted August 17, 2012 Expected but Wayne wild just confirmed on twitter that WEC is no longer Sponsoring a stand I imagine sponsors and hospitality packages will be way down
AndyNeil Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 so apart from the six "official club partners" listed on the website, are there any other high-value commercial partners and/or sponsors?
Rover_Shaun Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 The shameful sponsor situation says all we need to know about the club FNABR
Reedy You're A Star Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I think FUBAR would be more appropriate
Pitty Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 There will be no sponsor on the shirts today, Andy cryer just comfirmed it.
Backroom Tom Posted August 18, 2012 Backroom Posted August 18, 2012 Typical Rovers organisation, shambles
bob fleming Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 There will be no sponsor on the shirts today, Andy cryer just comfirmed it. Did he confirm which of our three blue and white kits we're wearing that won't clash with the Ipswich home blue and white kit?
philipl Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Did he confirm which of our three blue and white kits we're wearing that won't clash with the Ipswich home blue and white kit? I hear we are playing naked.... Or might as well be.
SouthAussieRover Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I hope they wear plenty of sunscreen then. It's pretty toasty today.
Claytons Left Boot Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 India, one of the most up and coming countries in the world. Even if we couldn't attract a UK or European based sponsor, surely we could have persuaded a company from the sub continent to invest in shirt sponsorship for a couple of years. Says it all about our shower of sh!t owners.
