I dislike Kean as much as the next man, but you've deliberately taken the quote out of context by shortening it. The full quote is "In terms of options and competition for places this is without doubt the strongest we have ever been."

We do have more options in each position than we've had under Kean - the squad is huge. The quality of the first XI obviously isn't up there with the squad he inherited but that's not what he is saying. Whether or not competition for places is important if the quality is missing is another discussion entirely.

Our squad may be big but the quality is seriously lacking. There is no favourable argument Kean could make for this squad over the one he inherited upon slithering into the post.

Me too. I asked if Kean was surprised that he was still in a job with a record of 15 wins from 63 games and relegating us considering how Sam was sacked so quickly after losing a few games, with the team sitting in mid table? I also wanted to know if Steve could confirm if he had a part ownership in the club or associated companies?
