LeChuck Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Under Ferguson I would have said Zaha would have gone on to be a worldie. Shades of early Ronaldo in his work. Whether Moyes can develop young players in the same way remains to be seen. It'll be interesting to see what happens if Palace go up. In theory they should have about £30m to spend. Watford staying down is best for us as a lot of their squad won't be there next season.

Ricky Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Well done palace. Another example of what good solid ownership can achieve in this league. They nearly went to the wall three seasons ago and now they are back in the too flight.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 27, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted May 27, 2013 Palace go up. Watford didn't turn up to say the least.
Stuart Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Pleased for Palace. More pleased though that Watford's "playing of the rules" didn't pay off.

ABBEY Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Pleased for Palace. More pleased though that Watford's "playing of the rules" didn't pay off. Pleased ? I hate them with a passion .
Alex Rover Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dougie Freedman should take credit for Palace as well. They were pretty much on their knees and going down when he took over. Considering Bolton's upturn under him it looks like he's going to be a goodun.
Moptop Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Ditto, I've never liked or forgiven them for that final second leg play off defeat. Still upsets that day...
blueboy3333 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I bet Cassetti wishes he could rewind that tackle. Pleased Udinese didn't go up, disappointed that Palace did. It was a lose-lose final to finish off a truly forgettable season. Roll on the 2013-2014 promotion push!
Batman. Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Pleased ? I hate them with a passion . Go on, what's your reasoning for this? Should be good.
koi Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 So Watford can't sign any player until September? does that include loans and freebies?
Rover_Shaun Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Go on, what's your reasoning for this? Should be good. June 3rd 1989 I thought any self respecting Rovers fan would be aware of that?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Whichever of these gets promoted are coming straight back down I think. Mere Cannon fodder for the big guns.
rovers11 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Big problems for Watford now. A transfer embargo plus all their loanees going back = relegation to lge 1
Batman. Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 June 3rd 1989 I thought any self respecting Rovers fan would be aware of that? I was two. And frankly find it unbelievable that such a petty grudge could be held so long. Hating somebody with a "passion" because they beat us in a football match twenty four years ago?
Leonard Venkhater Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Pleased ? I hate them with a passion . Me too.1989..Courtney, Wright, Bright, and Richard Bransons' balloons..worst Rovers experience ever... I confess to Almighty God that I also have an elephant's memory for pain. If I followed Paul Agnew's advice, I would move on...
Philly13 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dougie Freedman is clearly a very good manager, but think he regrets leaving?
Batman. Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dougie Freedman is clearly a very good manager, but think he regrets leaving? Not in 12 months when he is winning promotion and Palace are relegated.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Was just about to say that haha. I'd imagine Bolton's infrastructure is better equipped to stay in the Premier League than Palace's so it's probably a good decision on the face of it,
philipl Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Go on, what's your reasoning for this? Should be good. At the risk of being lynched "Glad all over" Anybody who saw us get Courtneyed at Selhurst Park that day will never ever ever forget or forgive.
Alex Rover Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 At the risk of being lynched "Glad all over" Anybody who saw us get Courtneyed at Selhurst Park that day will never ever ever forget or forgive. You just had to didn't you. Serious question though, did we ever find out why and who was responsible for that travesty or would it be libelous to put on here.

Wounds heal on the surface but the mental scars endure.
Philly13 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Not in 12 months when he is winning promotion and Palace are relegated. Fair enough
Batman. Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Like Venkys. Never forgive. Never forget. Especially if you were there. Wounds heal on the surface but the mental scars endure. What actually happened?
