patrickvalery Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Dave Jones has just said on Talksport that Warnock told him that Kirkland went down like a sack of spuds!!!! Whether he did or not isn't the point. What sort of comment is that for a manager to make?!! That bloke is fecking unbelievable!

Whether he did or not isn't the point. What sort of comment is that for a manager to make?!! That bloke is fecking unbelievable! Warnock - "Kirkland went down like a tonne of bricks, but that doesn't matter." Jones - "They should be banned from every away ground now, they are vile animals. You talk about racism, the chanting, that's a form of racism. And then [for the Leeds players] to go and wave at them... not in my book. You don't wave at them after that." "They should be punished. I've had it for 12 years and it is just upsetting that they are able to do it. The authorities have to look at it and sort it. I'm talking about an incident when we should be talking about the football."

He has said he is ashamed to be Leeds manager after this incident. His comments are spot on elsewhere.
Beta Ray Bill Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 At the height of the Kean Out protests, every Leeds fan I work with called Rovers fans a disgrace to the game.
arbitro Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 To be fair to Warnock, he has made himself pretty clear on this incident. He has said he is ashamed to be Leeds manager after this incident. His comments are spot on elsewhere. But in typical Warnock fashion he HAS to say something controversial (about Kirkland going down like a ton of bricks). What do you expect though as I saw him last night and he put his arm around a 'sewer rat'.
koi Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 We all know what Leeds fans are like and I hope the idiot banned for life but Kirkland is one incredible soft lad, bet he needed a cuddle of mummy.
Ossydave Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 The lads Facebook pages is still open. He wrote that he'd got home safe and sound and just had sex last night. Think he's had a knock on the door since!
roverandout Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 me and my mates were attacked by a group of leeds fans after we beat them at ewood back in '99, unprovoked. They are the scum of the earth
perthblue02 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 First time I've seen him today but Charlie Austin over at the Dingles is looking like a bargain, was it 1.5 million? and he's only 23. Hopefully somebody will nab him off them in the Jan transfer window
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted October 21, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted October 21, 2012 Was impressed with Austin and Burnley's full backs last night. Thought Blackpool were poor overall. This league is there for the taking.
Amo Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Don't know why Kirkland did the theatrics when it was a random goon that slapped him. Must just be instinct for modern footballers these days to fall like a bitch. *This in no way endorses the brainless behaviour of said goon, btw.
Backroom Tom Posted October 21, 2012 Backroom Posted October 21, 2012 To be fair he caught him totally by surprise and there was a bit of force even if it was a slap he possibly got a thumb in the eye Probably more shock than anything though
Amo Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 To be fair he caught him totally by surprise and there was a bit of force even if it was a slap he possibly got a thumb in the eye Probably more shock than anything though Any money you like he wouldn't have gone down like that in the street. Kirkland said today that he "felt like he was hit by a baseball bat" and "he caught me a cracker". Anyone would think he got slugged by Joe Frazier, not bitch-slapped by some scrawny chav,
longsiders1882 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 First time I've seen him today but Charlie Austin over at the Dingles is looking like a bargain, was it 1.5 million? and he's only 23. Hopefully somebody will nab him off them in the Jan transfer window I think it might even have been 1 million. If I'm not mistaken that makes it 12 goals in his last 7 games, 14 league goals for the season so far.

If I'm not mistaken that makes it 12 goals in his last 7 games, 14 league goals for the season so far. Wow more of a bargain then, apart from his goal noticed he did a hell of a lot of work on and off the ball as well, is he always like this ? pretty consistent with his work rate etc?
longsiders1882 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Yeah he always works hard - it's part of his game that is often overlooked because he's so prolific. Whatever we paid it was a steal. Just a shame that we probably can't hope to keep him beyond January
Hughesy Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 16 goals so far isnt it? He will be off in Jan - which will probably keep the dingles up for the next 2 years - unless they get Ince hahahaha
longsiders1882 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 16 including cup goals hughesy. Be amazed if he isn't sold in January, we will be offered decent money and our board are not ones for turning it down. Not sure it will keep us up but might help keep us afloat for another couple of seasons. As for Ince - don't even want to think about it

What a big girls blouse Kirkland is... lying flat out on the floor while the trainer attended to..... what exactly? Personally I thought he was instinctively trying to get him sent off! The lad is a @#/? of that there is no doubt and he deserves banning but he only pushed him in the face without real malice or intent so how about the double standards of the authorities re: the vicous Cantona assault on Matthew Simmonds? Cantona didn't even get a night in the cells when in reallity he should have been banned from every football ground in the country!
John Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Campo's message to Bolton fans - http://www.guillembalague.com/guestwriter_desp.php?id=34
Salgado Is A Hero Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Always liked Campo......Okocha was my favourite but they had a very decent team at that time.
roverandout Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 these words could just as easily be coming from the mouth of salgado
yoda Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 these words could just as easily be coming from the mouth of salgado Very true, but our lot wouldn't understand it, Solgado and Tugay for me if they want up and coming coaches
