Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 4, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted December 4, 2013 Personal issues aside, he's phenomenal. I don't think there's a harder working striker about.

Backroom DE. Posted December 4, 2013 Backroom Posted December 4, 2013 Norwich being atrocious helps tbf.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 4, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted December 4, 2013 Hat-trick now for Suarez, 3rd against Norwich..... Norwich being atrocious helps tbf.Ha, indeed- Hughton on the brink there surely.
adopted scouser Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Personal issues aside, he's phenomenal. I don't think there's a harder working striker about. As a footballer he is outstanding.
Backroom DE. Posted December 4, 2013 Backroom Posted December 4, 2013 United without fergie the sheer averageness of their team is there for all to see. A 40 year old Giggs and stumbling moron in Fellaini as their central midfield, deary me. They genuinely may not make top 4 this year.
jim mk2 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 One of the best Match of the Days in years tonight - I've never seen so many outstanding goals. Suarez is in the form of his life. It'll never get better than this for him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in a Real Madrid shirt next season.
Backroom Mike E Posted December 5, 2013 Backroom Posted December 5, 2013 Odious little prick. But simply a stunning footballer.
Sparky Marky Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 And he's not champions league cup tied. I expect him to go in january.
Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2013 Backroom Posted December 5, 2013 Suarez's performance against Norwich was a sight to behold. Yes, Norwich were shocking and seem to crap themselves whenever they face Liverpool... but pretty much every goal Suarez scored there was pure quality. You don't need to take his personal issues into account to acknowledge he's a tremendously talented footballer.
thenodrog Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Some goal again from Suarez I remember some Liverpool fans saying in summer they wouldn't mind if he left, soon as it looked like he was staying they changed their tune I rem telling two MU fans lasy spring that they should sell Rooney when he was kicking off and buy Suarez.
speeeeeeedie Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I rem telling two MU fans lasy spring that they should sell Rooney when he was kicking off and buy Suarez. Somehow I doubt that would have happened. I can't see Liverpool selling any player, let alone their star man, to United. I don't think that Suarez will leave in January either. They kept him this summer when all signs pointed to him going. Now Liverpool are in a position to grab a Champs League spot he'll stay and take the adulation. Also, Uruguay are seeded for WC 2014. Less games may mean him being sharper come June. I do enjoy a good smile every time Man U get beat. They will be lucky to finish 6th this season. The central midfielders Moyes has to choose from are nowhere near the quality needed. Fellaini was abysmal last night. Giggs is one of the finest to ever play in the Premier League, but he shined as a winger. Being 40 and playing in the middle doesn't work. Scholes won't come back to save them this time. Chelsea won but conceded 3. Meanwhile Arsenal keep on winning.

I followed that Suarez advice up to those two with a statement that if MU had a fire sale only 2 players would interest any of the potential CL semi finalists and the rest would end up dotted around the mid prem clubs. I've seen nothing since to change my mind.

thenodrog Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Not difficult that one was it speeeedie? That Janujaz might get a look over too mind.
FGS5635 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Any that would end up at a mid table championship club?
speeeeeeedie Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Not difficult that one was it speeeedie? That Janujaz might get a look over too mind. Just wondered. RVP is close to being past it. No Phil Jones?
thenodrog Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Just wondered. RVP is close to being past it. No Phil Jones? Nope unless he stops trying to play ch and rb for a few years and makes a real go of being a deep sitting midfielder.
G Somerset Rover Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Nope unless he stops trying to play ch and rb for a few years and makes a real go of being a deep sitting midfielder. Incidentally a lot of Utd fans now think that the deep sitting midfielder role is where his future lays. He's been very average for them at CB but very dominant in that role. I seem to remember Big Sam liking him in that role too... Still, we have Keano to thank for discovering that gem.

When we had him his dynamism, energy and strength was best at deep mid and his concentration imo is not developed enough for a back 4 berth. Also I rem him and Parker nullifying the Spanish midfield with rel;ative ease when everybody thought they would get worked over.
Backroom DE. Posted December 6, 2013 Backroom Posted December 6, 2013 Jones has barely played at CB for United so it's a bit harsh to suggest he's been poor there. For most of his time there he's been a John O'Shea style utility player.
Majiball Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 he could have been England's answer to pique, but just as with him united have ballsed it up.

I don't think his distribution is good enough, presently I'll add, to be a midfielder. Jones has barely played at CB for United so it's a bit harsh to suggest he's been poor there. I said that when he left us he should have gone to Liverpool. He would have played every game, probably as a central defender, and would be a much better player now for it. Yet, he wouldn't have his League winners medal, nor would we have had the laugh of seeing his end of game facial expressions when City pipped Utd 2 seasons ago.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Glory, Glory... Man... United? Is Moyes still pound-for-pound the best manager in the league?
