Sam is to wrapped up in his own self importance and arrogance. He doesnt care about the fans or their opinion. Its the reason he is disliked by a good majority of fans at all his recent clubs.

Problem is do the players respect Sam especially when they are going over to their fans last night and throwing their shirts into the crowd just don't think that looked too good from a Sam Allardyces point when they've hardly tried .

Hard to tell but they certainly looked flat and lacking commitment last night, which for a cup semi final is unforgivable. There is no shame in losing to city, they are a top top side, but it was the manner of the defeat that looked bad.

With Sam I think the game has passed him by a little and he hasnt adapted. He was always a bit of a forward thinker. He used sports science alot when many didnt. He used the long ball well when others struggled with it. He adpated a physical approach when teams couldnt handle it. He signed old 'Has been' type players and motivated them into a couple more good years. But everyone is wise to all this now and he doesnt seem to have changed anything in recent years and now we see him at a point last night where he looked lost / fed up and clueless what to do.

David Moyes, after three successive defeats to rubbish teams: "I just sense it's on the verge of turning, that we're about to get a bit better. You need a bit of good fortune to go for you, and it looks as if we're not getting enough of that at the moment."

He's Man Utd's very own Steve Kean. Wonder if the owners will stick with him for another year after they finish mid-table this time.

He sounds more and more out of his depth everytime he speaks

The low point of Allardyce at Rovers was away to Man City where Rovers put out a pitifull display that was jeered by the few fans that travelled.

I believe this was at the point that Samba was trying to get a move in the Jan transfer window and Roberts was sulking because he wasn't starting every game.

It was reported that Big Sam was in the dressing room for a few hours after the game with the players and cleared the air. We picked up after that, so it is recoverable.

Impossible there was a worse low point v Man Utd away BUT the lowest point of all was when we were in the final minutes of the Wolves game, leading 3-0!!! Almost the entire Blackburn End booed Allardyce and provided us all with the lowest point ever! Lowest of the low BUT for the Blackburn End themselves! In fact 40 years ago it'd be a fair bet that that championship manager weaned brigade would have been on the wrong end of a good kicking ... from the proper Blackburn Enders. :brfc:

No offence to you but that 's exactly the same sort of rubbish that Sam was coming out with in his post match interviews last night. It wasn't his fault and there was nothing he could do about it beacause Citeh were so good etc. Similarly on Sunday it wasn't his fault because he had "no choice" with his team selection etc.

The fact of the matter is he got his team selection badly wrong on Sunday and his team didn't perform for him last night. Crystal Palace went to Citeh recently, defended properly and lost an exciting game by a narrow 1-0 margin. Hopefully we can also perform resolutely next week.

Gold and Sullivan have now made a right rod for their own backs by publicly backing him and promising him money in the transfer window etc. Every time the team roll over and die and Sam tries insulting everyone's intelligence with his excuses it must be like a knife into the gut for the fans.

No offence to you, but this type of rubbish you keep spouting does you no favours. It was obvious the Cardiff game was the big one of the week for West Ham even if you couldn't see it. Check the scores from that game today.

Theno...Sam's lost his players? I watched both games against Forest and City and could not draw that same conclusion.

Ah, nice to see you've piped up with the benefit of hindsight, now West Ham have registered their second victory in eleven games.

The result today in no way excuses the two Cup games, each game is an individual event with little bearing on the next.

As for West Ham generally they're having a terrible season, if they just about find three teams worse than them at the end of the season so be it but I hardly think it goes down as a plus point on Sam's CV.

Edit: There is apparently a story that Sam will be replaced by Malky Mackay this week in one of tomorrow's papers. Probably tabloid tittle tattle given yesterday's result.

Cracking Relegation Fight, it is a surprise Fulham is 16th yet. Those other clubs up to 12th, Stoke could easily be pulled into it. Bad loss at Craven Cottage, Sunderland winning 4-1 and Sunderland still 19th. If it were a horse race, you'd call it neck in neck.

West Ham, GD -9 , not bad, nothing great either.

Sadly for you it it wasn't hindsight. I reminded you that both Arsenal and Tottenham conceeded 6 at City and Norwich 7, allowing you to consider West Hams result in some sort of context, but that went straight over your head and personal agenda.

I pointed out the Cardiff game was the more important fixture as well to help you along further.

You said I was mirroring the rubbish Allardyce spouts.

They lose one 5-0, one 6-0 and win the other 2-0. You work it out. Amazing he got that reaction after 'losing' his players.
