Amo Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I wonder if Sherwood had come to Rovers, would he have got the best out of Best? Another goal for Adebayor, and another win. Not too Shebby, sorry, shabby. Did you just compare Adebayor to Leon Best? I hope this is another one of your funnies.

Stuart Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 Like a Bumley wedding, it's all relative, Am'o. On another note, why has Defoe been allowed to continue to play for Tottenham after the close of the transfer window when he has already signed for Toronto? Surely he should have been gone by now.
Amo Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Like a Bumley wedding, it's all relative, Am'o. When was the last time Best scored more than 10 goals in a season?
Stuart Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 What does that have to do with anything? I suggested that Sherwood might be able to get inside the heads of bad boy, outcast footballers and get the best of out them.
Amo Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Because Adebayor has a proven pedigree, Best does not.
davulsukur Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Fulham dropping Parker and Hangeland for the game against Utd. An 18 year old Swede, Tankovic, starts upfront. This will either go really well or tragically wrong. Wasn't Ryan Tunnicliffe playing for Barnsley not too long ago?

Backroom DE. Posted February 9, 2014 Backroom Posted February 9, 2014 Manchester United are pathetic. Cross after cross, they can't do anything else Moyes will go down in the history books as the man who destroyed a title winning team in a single season. Any legacy he built at Everton is being wiped out by his appalling tenure at Old Trafford. Couldn't be happening to a nicer bloke
davulsukur Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 And when Fulham have Allardyce's wet dream of a defender in the form of 6'7" Dan Burn, all he will ever do is head crosses away.
Backroom DE. Posted February 9, 2014 Backroom Posted February 9, 2014 Watching this there is no doubt in my mind Fulham are going down. They are pitiful.
Stuart Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 I wondered who put the kiss of death on them. Thanks a lot DE. On a side note, I was wondering who that woman was with RFW. Turns out it was a particularly well coiffured Mick Hucknall.

jim mk2 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Watching this there is no doubt in my mind Fulham are going down. They are pitiful. After slating United I suppose you had to backtrack there. Isn't it better to keep quiet until the final whistle ?
Backroom DE. Posted February 9, 2014 Backroom Posted February 9, 2014 After slating United I suppose you had to backtrack there. Isn't it better to keep quiet until the final whistle ? No, because United have been pathetic. The fact they've scraped a couple of goals against the worst team in the league does nothing to disprove my point. You a closet manc pal?
Audax Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25906151 "Closest Relegation Battle in History" by Robbie Savage and after yesterday, I can't be sure Norwich is one of the three to go down, would have thought Man City would win comfortably, good for Steve Bruce to win yesterday vs. Sunderland, the way at least some treated him there. Fulham got a result, as bad as they have played, they have a relatively soft list of fixtures at season's end. So this is interesting and the clubs are probably fairly close to each other.

The same Robbie Savage who said Palace were "dead certs" for relegation a couple of months back. Now he's tipped them to stay up. He flip flops more than a fish out of water.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 9, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted February 9, 2014 He also said West Ham would finish above Everton at the start of the season...
Backroom DE. Posted February 9, 2014 Backroom Posted February 9, 2014 Fulham got lucky today, but I cannot see them staying up. They haven't got the quality on the playing or coaching side to avoid the drop imo. United meanwhile will do well to finish 7th. The only tactic they have is to cross the ball relentlessly, and teams have quickly figured them out. Defensively they have become very weak. I think I read on the BBC that United put in the most crosses today since OPTA stats began and yet at no point did Moyes figure out it wasn't really working and try something different.
Stuart Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 Jamie Carragher: "If your* David Moyes, you probably want to miss out on the Europa League as well. He won't want to be playing Thursday, Sunday when he's mounting a title challenge next season". I don't know how he kept a straight face. I bet he has a good old celebratory drum on his steering wheel when he gets into his car tonight. I know it was spoken but if he wrote it down I reckon that's how he'd spell it.
