Wasn't old Felix interested in coming here before our owners made the brilliant decision to appoint Henning Berg?

Normally not a fan of sacking a manager that quickly, but Fulham were unquestionably going down under Rene. Their performance at Old Trafford was pathetic despite the draw, against any other team they would have been hammered. Not sure Magath is the man to get them out of danger, but can't be any worse.

Wsn't that Schuster?

Anyway, 75 days is pathetic. Fulham are bloody ameteurs! We'd have canned him in 57 max.

You may be right. I might be thinking of Magath from when we had Jermaine Jones - wasn't Magath manager of Schalke at that point, and JJ basically hated him?

If Fulham weren't doomed before, they certainly are now.

Yet another bad managerial decision has cost them. Meulensteen (sp?) is a coach, not a manager. When will club execs learn? My guess is never.

Was it Brian Clough's book with the chapter "what the average chairman knows about football" followed by a blank page?

It was Len Shackleton that wrote the book with the blank page.

That's how i see it really. Rene was a poor appointment and had he remained in charge, they would definitely be playing championship football next season.

No idea how Felix will work out but i guess he has nothing to lose.

West Ham lose their most talented player because Big Sam and Kevin Nolan kept hassling him to sign with their agent.

Maybe Steve K**n had a point.

Morrison is a big time charlie who will never make it, barring a huge change in attitude.

There's a reason he was cut loose from United and is now gone from West Ham too, and agent issues are a very small piece of that puzzle. It's a shame because he has immense talent, but such poor application he is unlikely to amount to anything worthwhile.

Morrison sounds like a nasty piece of work and a bit of a moron, so he should have fitted in pretty well as a premier league footballer.

From that article, this just sounds incredibly dodgy. Unethical and unprofessional at best

"...his complaint is that he has felt under considerable pressure from Allardyce and Nolan to change his mind, claiming it is brought up on an almost daily basis. His grievance is that he wanted to go into training to learn and improve, not to have endless conversations about an agent he did not want to employ."

You've said yourself he's a nasty piece of work and a moron - do you make a habit of taking these types of people at their word?

Of course I don't. If it was a lie by Morrison then Big Sam should sue him for libel, because it's a pretty scandalous thing to accuse a manager of doing. A sacking offence, potentially. The Guardian would also be guilty for reprinting it, but given that the journalist and editor felt confident enough to publish it, I'd say there's no smoke without fire.
