A similar incident got a retrospective banning - I saw it mentioned earlier on the Web but can't remember where, maybe BBc. Mind you it was not in the PL where perhaps different rules apply.

It appears Joe Garner and Neil Kilkenny are both white, just saying.

Kilkenny has been selected to play before for Australia, sidenote.

Strange that the referee has made this same mistake twice.

I think I've said before that I expect Hughes to do well at Stoke. Club like ours with solid pro's and no Billy Big Time Carlos Kickaballs to undermine his authority. It's taken him 6 months as it did here but he's certainly got them firing on all cylinders.

Incidentally how many on here said Steven N'Zonzi was crap? Debate raged for months yet they've quietened down somewhat now that he's playing every week in the Prem.

Heard people on TV and Radio raving about Rooney's goal. Am I the only who thought that it was absolutely horrendous goalkeeping, that you wouldn't expect to see in kids football?

No I did too. The keeper ran away from it and then fell over an invisible trip wire. The Prem this weekend has been absolutely awash with godawful comic cut defending.

I'm sick of the tv companies obsessions with the big teams its an insult to opposing managers at times, it was the same when we played city they only asked bowyer about city and not his own team!

Yeh apart from Bowyer played straight into their hands by lavishing City with praise for a good 45 seconds. It did my head in.

The keeping isn't great, but you still have to have the awareness to go for it and then pull it off. Also, with the way that balls move now, you can see the ball move in different directions when in flight, which means that it wouldn't have been that easy for him to track whilst trying to run backwards in a panic.

Goalkeepers get caught off guard easily in those situations as most of us have probably seen on film at least where a goalkeeper kicks the ball long, the full length and scores ... on the opposite goalkeeper.

They were awful. The only reason they didn't look so bad was because City played the entire match like a training exercise!

The first question that i always ask myself when i see utd these days is how the hell can you spend 64million on 2 players and not improve the team??

Can't see how they can continue with Moyes - would you trust him with a complete rebuild of the squad at a cost of about 250 million and giving new contracts to everyone in the squad who hasn't already said "@#/? this i'm going home"?

Yeaaah... no. Moyes has taken the (comfortable) league champions and spent £64m to make them Europa League contenders (if that!). Not really equatable to Bowyer, who saved the club from League One and has marginally improved on last year. You can argue both are underachieving but it's a glib comment to make out of context.
