If they beat Spurs, then not lose to Chelsea and Man City, they'd do it. It will all come down to those two home games. And to think some were saying Rodgers was crap when he had about a year at the job. I knew he would be a good manager for them, but I'm surprised how good this season has been for them.

Not sure Moyes will do the same next season though.

Thought West Ham were relegated back in December, they looked down and out.

The old faves on here, Topman and Revidge were loving it.

Still need another win or so - regardless but as we saw here, Big Sam is a very good manager

Liverpool has offered some many good laughs during the years .

You must be very young. LFC has arguably been one of the finest clubs in this country. Certainly streets ahead of Utd. I'm talking about quality and ethos not simply results.

I for one will be delighted if the title ends up at Anfield.

At least your brother in law isn't a scouse Liverpool fan Abbey :D. Seeing as I grew up in the 80's, Liverpool winning would feel very retro for me. They need to bring back grey away kits sponsored by Crown Paints to complete that for me.

Watching MOTD and as poor as Newcastle were, Southampton looked excellent, Lallana in particular.

It's a good job they had such a strong first half of the season, since Cabaye has gone their form has been horrific.

Lallana can be Englands Ozil if Woy can step up to the mark with squad selection and tactics. Not sure he will though. Too much interference from external sources imo.

You asked me in another thread who the leaders are in our team, implying that I cannot know. So what does that last sentence mean exactly. Sounds like something Mercerman would have said.

So Liverpool 3-0 up with 20 minutes to play. That must put them 2 points clear of Chelsea and 4 on City. Both clubs have to go to Anfield.

This is Liverpool's to lose now.

Step too far for Sherwood. Time to come home, Tim. Maybe Shebby is watching from afar.

Would people accept Sherwood with Bowyer as first team coach?

That Shebby, he can sure spot a manager, right guys?

Lazy armchair punditry. Singh was recruiting for a Championship side, Levy recruited for a Champions League chasing side. But Levy is crap too of course.

Can't see past Liverpool unfortunately but they've earnt it this season

They will batter Chelsea at home, I still feel city are possibly man for man the best in the league but they will end up second

I don't want pool to win it, I'm still hopeful either chelsea or City will pip them. If they do I will no longer be able to retort with we won the premier league!

I don't actually think it would do them good to win it, they haven't had europe to cope with this year and fans expectations will soar if they do. Will they be able to repeat it next year with an extra 10 games and all the traveling?

Sherwood has shown nothing to suggest he would have been a success here. Clearly struggles controlling his emotions, has been found out tactically multiple times already with a hugely expensive team, no managerial record before joining Spurs and probably would have demanded a long contract based on his very public notifications of negotiations between he and the Spurs board.

What we needed was experience, not another ex-player with no managerial record.

Sherwood may be good at our level, but at Spurs' level he is rubbish. Tonked by all the bigger teams this season, can't get his team to string a couple of passes together was woeful against Southampton and Liverpool, is far too emotional and seems the sort who'd get in a scrap with the boardroom.
