perthblue02 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 To be fair they only got one point out of those four games and the Saints game in particular were he came on they conceded straight away. That's what I was referring to he still played in a game where they gained a point., and if I were the MK Dons chairman I would be putting in a claim for compensation against Sunderland, the FA and the football league for the league cup game
thenodrog Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Just my view. What did he do after he left Ewood ?Irrelevent. Whilst he was here he was rarely injured and played in virtually every game. He dictated our play and he won a Premier League Winners medal. Just as an aside that is one more than Steve Gerrards total and many people deem him a worldie!
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 He got 3 caps for England, that other midfield dynamo Carlton Palmer got 18 I believe. Says it all for me.
Guest Norbert Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I think England caps can be given to planks though. Was Steve Bruce worse at his role than Michael Ricketts?
47er Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 He got 3 caps for England, that other midfield dynamo Carlton Palmer got 18 I believe. Says it all for me. He didn't get his first cap till he was thirty! Southern bias. Captain of a Premiership team but didn't get an international call-up till he joined Spurs! Laughable really. However I couldn't care less about what he did after he left us. When he was with us is my interest and he was terrific for several years. That's how I will remember him and Jason Wilcox for that matter and Super Atko and all the rest who did a great job for us and got pilloried by morons.
jim mk2 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Watched Scott Dann playing well for Palace on MotD - he must be delighted with his move. I don't care what anyone says, his departure was a big loss for us. Palace fans must be delighted with Tony Pulis - what a superb appointment he has been. Pulis and Sam Allardyce have both showed their qualities as Premier League managers this season - and to think some people on here labelled them both "dinosaurs" this season.
old darwen blue Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I don't think it was a loss at all. I've never seen a centre half his size ducking under so many crosses. I don't actually think he wanted to be here at all judging by his interviews when he arrived.
adopted scouser Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Wins for Everton and Liverpool today please.

Funny, me and my mate said the exact opposite yesterday, not been missed at all for me.
ABBEY Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Wins for Everton and Liverpool today please. No thanks
roversfan99 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Funny, me and my mate said the exact opposite yesterday, not been missed at all for me. We've been conceding a lot more goals since. He was our best defender easily.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 6, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 6, 2014 Not convinced he's any better than Kilgallon, Dann was hugely over-rated by most imo.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 6, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 6, 2014 Arsenal are absolutely pathetic.
roverandout Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 that stones looks another good prospect, pretty sure he will be playing for the national team before the year is out
Majiball Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 3-0 If Pool win today next Sunday is the title decider.
Amo Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 The thing about Arsenal is, they always try to walk it in.
Hasta Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Well no shock there Liverpool get a penalty. To be fair it was blatant. Good West Ham response though. Corner comes in. Carroll punches keeper on back of head then flicks ball out of his hands. Guy taps in empty net. Linesman flags to disallow it. Ref over-rules.
somersetrover Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Another penalty for Liverpool, the officials are certainly doing their bit to win them the title.
Stuart Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Another penalty for Liverpool, the officials are certainly doing their bit to win them the title. You think? They certainly didn't help when the allowed the West Ham goal despite Carroll's 'assault'. Blatant foul overruled by the referee. My first instinct was that the second wasn't a pen but if you watch the replay and consider if that was a defenders leg instead of Adrian's arm, it went over the top of the ball and took the man down. I don't particularly want Liverpool to win the league but they deserve to be ahead in this match.
Majiball Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Well no shock there Liverpool get a penalty. justice for Carrolls punch.
