M-K Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Jack said, ‘It’s £25m to Man U but for you it’s £15m!’ I don't believe that for a second! Such an attitude would have completely undermined Jack's desire for Rovers to be able to survive without his handouts. Glad Shearer never so much as got a sniff of another trophy in his entire career, though. What a pillock.
Stuart Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 He hated United though. I could well believe it. Although it's easy to say when a £25m offer isn't on the table.
roverandout Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 that was when ray harford was appointment, another rookie that cost us progress!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Jesus Christ! 18 years has passed quickly ...how the once mighty have fallen indeed.
Stuart Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 that was when ray harford was appointment, another rookie that cost us progress!! A good argument for the Back or Sack thread. Harford was a brilliant number 2.
blueboy3333 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 A good argument for the Back or Sack thread. Harford was a brilliant number 2. only if you're desperate.
Audax Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 West Brom 2 0 Spurs, 10th minute. Ouch. Win would close to seal West Brom's survival.
Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Spurs missed a penalty too. But Sherwood is a great manager in the making because he was once our captain.
Stuart Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 And Bowyer is a great manager in the making because...?
Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Did I say that? No. He's probably as good as Sherwood, who is clearly over rated by some because he was our league winning captain. Please try reading the messages before hallucinating your own subtext and insinuations.
Husky Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Didn't Sherwood make some substitutions and they came back from 3-0 down to draw? Nice to see Fulham and Cardiff win.
Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Did his team go 3-0 down to a relegation team in the first place?
Stuart Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 No but you are taking the @#/? because some folk can see that Sherwood has something about him and would prefer him to Bowyer. Just look what he managed with the virtually binned Adebeyor. Obviously if there was a queue of experienced managers lined up it would be a different discussion. Who, realistically, could you see coming here and getting the best out of this squad? Did his team go 3-0 down to a relegation team in the first place? And then put it right.Did Sherwood do something to you or your family? You seem to have a real hatred of him.
Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 My list is on the back or sack thread. I don't think Sherwood has anything about him other than that fact about Adebeyor. That was an achievement. He has done little at Spurs to suggest that he is a good manager with a squad waaaaay better than ours, and should be in the battle for that last CL place. He was hyped up in the media and lots of people have happily gulped it down. Spurs were awful but lucky against Southampton, hammered by Liverpool Chelsea and Man City, just about managed a draw against West Brom, lost to Norwich, scraped a win against Cardiff..............need I go on? Where is the brilliant potential there? And I imagine he would be expensive.

Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Wenger was once a very good manager who had revolutionised English football a while ago. He's been average for a fair few seasons recently.
cn174 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Currently getting beat by Wigan in the FA Cup. I don't really want Wigan to win, but I do cos of this biased commentary.
Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 It sounds like Alan Green is commentating whilst watching the TV with the volume down. The crowd sounds so far away, and not half as exciting as the Norwich/Fulham game.
Husky Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Reminds me a bit of how we sometimes play. Trying to defend a lead, sitting back letting the opposition have all the game........and then inevitably..........
Guest Norbert Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Extra time, and it sounds very dull. Even the fans are not too bothered about getting back to their seats on time.
old darwen blue Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Sounds a lot like Wenger - another useless manager that, until this season, hadn't won a trophy for 9 years. They haven't won the FA cup this season yet.
