Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 13, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 13, 2014 Kicking the ball away, that's a booking, well, unless you're Suarez...
Giant Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Clot-the-berk bottled it twice by not booking Suarez for the dive, and then not giving him a pen when he was taken out just after.
Backroom Tom Posted April 13, 2014 Backroom Posted April 13, 2014 Liverpool have been the better team over the game city haven't deserved anything from it really Not sure how Liverpool can mess it up now unless Chelsea somehow sneak a win there but can't see it Another clear penalty not given this ref is a shocker Red for Henderson - shock all round as Clattenberg gets a decision right
Stuart Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Shame that. Probably the least villainous player on the pitch and he's gone. It was probably fair but unfortunate. I didn't think there was any malice in that. It could even cost Liverpool the title - even if they win today. He's been that good for them this season.
Audax Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 How can they mess it up? An ugly studs up tackle but think they will survive. Bad play.
Stuart Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Fully deserved to win the match but Henderson's sending off has to take the gloss off, once the dust settles.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 13, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 13, 2014 They deserved to win, still can't stand that lot. They're going to be unbearable if they win it. (Well, the plastic goons in East Lancs that support them despite having no connection to Merseyside).
Backroom Tom Posted April 13, 2014 Backroom Posted April 13, 2014 Remember the luck I alluded to at half time? You can't win a league without it - we certainly wouldn't have we were incredibly lucky on the last day, just a different kind of luck that didn't involve us cheating
adopted scouser Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 They deserved to win, still can't stand that lot. They're going to be unbearable if they win it. (Well, the plastic goons in East Lancs that support them despite having no connection to Merseyside). Wow, aimed at me eh ? Lived there for sixteen years and relatives all over the wirral, grow up.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 13, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 13, 2014 Wow, aimed at me eh ? Lived there for sixteen years and relatives all over the wirral, grow up.Aimed at you??? I don't even know you, so not sure how you've interpreted that, I'd suggest you calm down. I was meaning plastic scousers in my local pub that wouldn't know Anfield if I dropped them off outside the Kop!I've got plenty of family in Southport that support them anyway!
Audax Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Fully deserved to win the match but Henderson's sending off has to take the gloss off, once the dust settles. Just watched that Suarez dive on replay? Was that it? Hate seeing that kind of play.
Backroom Tom Posted April 13, 2014 Backroom Posted April 13, 2014 It's just really disappointing Audax, Liverpool are comfy at 2-0 and on their way to win the league then Suarez randomly decides he'd rather cheat than play fair and the ref staring right at it decides he'd rather not send him off, its things like that that make a mockery of the game as Suarez is in my mind the best player in the world he doesn't need to do that.
chaddyrovers Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Gerrard passion at the end of he game and the sign of a great captain really hope Liverpool win it now. Rodgers is doing a great job there aswell.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 13, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 13, 2014 I'd suggest you calm down. If the cap fits Topman ;-)
Baz Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Think Liverpool deserved the win, but it helps when Toure gets injured, you dont get 2 penalties and Suarez dives and the ref doesnt give him a second card.
Giant Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I used to like Liverpool but their persecution complex has become boring, cue Adopted Scousers rapid fire response to KHod's post. Fact is, only 25% of their season ticket holders live on Merseyside, though I suppose no locals can afford to get in the ground!
Backroom Tom Posted April 13, 2014 Backroom Posted April 13, 2014 Ref watch: Dowd just took twenty five minutes to produce a second yellow Probably right in the end mind it just makes it seem he's been influenced
cn174 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Nah Phil Dowd just likes to make sure that he's got everyone's attention first, that everyone is looking at him, then decide what to do.
Backroom Tom Posted April 13, 2014 Backroom Posted April 13, 2014 The difference between Liverpool and Chelsea is startling
thenodrog Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 No but you are taking the @#/? because some folk can see that Sherwood has something about him and would prefer him to Bowyer. You and Shebby Singh in the main I suspect Stuart.
thenodrog Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Shame that. Probably the least villainous player on the pitch and he's gone. It was probably fair but unfortunate. I didn't think there was any malice in that. It could even cost Liverpool the title - even if they win today. He's been that good for them this season. I'm sure there wasn't but it was highly dangerous. He managed to kick both legs in one tackle. Not easy that. They deserved to win, still can't stand that lot. They're going to be unbearable if they win it. (Well, the plastic goons in East Lancs that support them despite having no connection to Merseyside). Indeed. There'll be 'lifelong' Liverpool fans sprouting out of the woodwork all over the place if they win it. It's just really disappointing Audax, Liverpool are comfy at 2-0 and on their way to win the league then Suarez randomly decides he'd rather cheat than play fair and the ref staring right at it decides he'd rather not send him off, its things like that that make a mockery of the game as Suarez is in my mind the best player in the world he doesn't need to do that. Truth is after those dives he'd have had to be cut in half with a chain saw before Clattenberg would give him a free kick. Quite right too. Cheaters not only cheat the opposition but they make Refs look foolish and what Ref is going to like that? Just amazed that Suarez hasn't cottoned on that his diving is really counter productive and equally amazed that Rogers hasn't cracked down on him.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I know the support they gave us when we won the title was mostly born out of their hate of Man Utd but I hope Liverpool win it..they play a decent attacking style of football. Will be a chance of a party instead of a wake on Merseyside.
Blue Cabbage Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 As much as it will be one more name on the PL trophy I want Liverpool to win it mainly for Gerrard he deserves it after carrying them for 10 years. They've been immense this year
