M-K Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 If Gerrard had got his wish a few years back he'd be a Chelsea player. One year they just refused to grant his transfer request and the next time they gave him a huge new contract to make him stay. Liverpool to the core, he is.

roverandout Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I love watching sturridge and sterling, so for that reason I want Liverpool to win it
J*B Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Chelsea's title. No way on this Earth Josè will not pick up 3 points at Anfield. He's just too good.
M-K Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Chelsea's title. No way on this Earth Josè will not pick up 3 points at Anfield. He's just too good. Fingers crossed. If Chelsea win, it's the lesser of three evils.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I agree that Chelsea will probably win at Anfield but I have no idea who's gonna win the league.
donnermeat Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Fingers crossed. If Chelsea win, it's the lesser of three evils. I don't know, don't think I could stand seeing John Terry celebrating with a trophy again. No doubt he'll have his kit on regardless if/of what they win though.
Majiball Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Don't Chelsea have Athletico mid-week, Liverpool on the weekend and then Athletico again? I can see Jose playing the ressies against Pool as the champions league is the competition they stand a decent chance of winning now. Liverpools title now, it's there's too lose.
Backroom Tom Posted April 14, 2014 Backroom Posted April 14, 2014 Delicately poised though - as it is its Liverpools title, should Chelsea win there they could be favourites, if they draw then City look favourites again
Majiball Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Delicately poised though - as it is its Liverpools title, should Chelsea win there they could be favourites, if they draw then City look favourites again I don't see Chelsea catching them up and being in a position that when they go to anfield the result would matter to them. The champions league is more important to them this year and I just can't see him putting them through 3 matches in 6 days for it, when 2 in 6 sounds much better. What odds could you get on pool at the start? 20-1?
Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 25/1 at it's highest point apparently. Still think City and Liverpool will drop points along the way. Definitely can't see Liverpool winning 14 in a row or however long it will be. I'm certainly not going to write off Mourinho's Chelsea.
M-K Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I'm hoping for a meteorite to crash onto the pitch and vaporise Luis Suarez. One moment he's clean through on goal, the next just a smoking crater and a greasy stain.
thenodrog Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Worst I've seen Suarez and Sturridge play this season. So many time their second touch was a tackle. I've been up for Lpool recently cos I've had em down as dark horses since October... BUT... my admiration is wearing off now, caused mainly by the amount of 'plastics' crawling out of the woodwork claiming to be lifelong Lpool fans but who in reality couldn't find Anfield even with the help of satnav. Glory hunting fair weather friends.
broadsword Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Tony Pulis is doing Ian Holloway's reputation o favours at all, is he?
davulsukur Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Scott Dann just bagged a goal for Palace as well.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Tony Pulis is doing Ian Holloway's reputation o favours at all, is he? As good a job as Pulis has done, I'd say it says more about Holloway than him. Below-average manager at best. Pulis has made some good signings as well. This would put them on 40 points and in 11th place. Fair play to them.
chaddyrovers Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Wickham scores 2 goals tonight. Sunderland lead Man City 2-1 now
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 16, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 16, 2014 Ended 2-2 at the Etihad.... What a job Pulis has done at Palace, they looked dead and buried when he took over!
thenodrog Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 As good a job as Pulis has done, I'd say it says more about Holloway than him. I disagree.
M-K Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 The highest paid team in world sport and they've completely bottled the title run-in. They should sack Pellegrini for that, he's made a mess of it when the pressure was on.
broadsword Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Biggest mistake he made was mouthing off about the quadruple. What a pig's ear he's made of that target. What Man City's owners perhaps don't understand is that spending the most money in the league doesn't guarantee you'll win everything. You can't buy intangible qualities.
The Rover of Finland Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Silva and Yaya out snd City were horrible. Even the biggest clubs are so depended for few players. Must be all smiles at Liverpool now. Pool-Chelsea will be a huge match!

thenodrog Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Silva and Yaya out snd City were horrible. Even the biggest clubs are so depended for few players. Must be all smiles at Liverpool now. Pool-Chelsea will be a huge match!None of the 3 are out of it yet. Liverpools nerves are beginning to fray since they stormed to the top of the table and all that 'all they have to do is win every match' nonsense. Rem how nerves played a huge part in the Rovers final fixtures in 1901/02 and again in 1994/5? How funny would it be if Norwich beat Liverpool? Looking at the Palace and Sunderland results this week it's certainly not an impossibility. How 'football' would it be if Van Wolfswinckle banged in a hat trick? Add to that that Mourhino would just love to be the spoiler to deny Liverpool. His team have been written off by many, they have historical issues after that CL palaver and he'll be going for them with a steely determination. At this stage of the season I think Chelsea under Mourhino will have the clearest heads. All they have to do is win every match too... and they have least pressure on them, are used to it anyway and in Mourhino have a real Cool Hand Luke in charge. It'll be interesting but I have a funny feeling Liverpool will blink first.
Ricky Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Not sure there has really been a show of Liverpool having nerves. 10 wins on the bounce doesn't really look nervous. I think at 2-0 up against City they were always going to face a second half backlash and I think that was less to do with nerves and more to do with City coming out all guns blazing. However there will be lots of twists between now and the end of the season that's for sure.
M-K Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Not sure there has really been a show of Liverpool having nerves. 10 wins on the bounce doesn't really look nervous. Plus Liverpool seem to think it's their destiny to win it this year, what with it being the anniversary of Heysel and all that. Do it for the 39, Stevie G!
