Guest Norbert Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 They should be more than pinstripes, and not just because our away kit from 1994/95 was so good. Just like Newcastle shouldn't have about 5 big fat stripes. I am a bit of a traditionalist with these things. Away kits are what you can experiment with.

ABBEY Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Has an Everton fan been stabbed by qpr fans ? Just seen a rumour on twitter. 17 year old apparently .
Audax Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I certainly hope everyone is safe if someone was stabbed. Daily Mail has a big article on Millwall fans kicking it up at Wembley, blood. Wigan through to their first FA Final. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2308633/Millwall-shame-FA-Cup-fans-fight-EACH-OTHER-stands-Wembley.html
thewarhurstward Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 even worse,Bolton in the play-off places. TBF,Dougie Freedman has done a brilliant job there since the ex Dingle was fired
Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I wouldn't really mind if they were promoted tbh. They made a good appointment so fair play to them. Plus I don't want Watford or Brighton promoted.
Mike Graham Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Just watching Everton on MOTD.....lots of empty seats in the main stand.....you would never have seen that a season ago.
Backroom Tom Posted April 13, 2013 Backroom Posted April 13, 2013 A quick look on ESPN suggests their average attendance this season is up 3k on last season not sure how accurate it is mind
thenodrog Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I wouldn't really mind if they were promoted tbh. They made a good appointment so fair play to them. Plus I don't want Watford or Brighton promoted. Heart over head Salgado. Try it the other way around and you should find that the success of any of our local rivals is never a good thing for us. Bolton are struggling under massive debt so better for us to have that situation continue.
Clitherover Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 I can see Bolton in the Premiership next season unfortunately. They've been brilliant recently under Freedman not losing very many games and I think they'll take that form into the playoffs and win them. Looking at the Premiership table I can only see Sunderland going down, crazy managerial appointment and lack of goalscorers will ultimately pay off, shame as I wanted Wigan to go down, they've had their fun let someone else have a go, also I promised some of their fans they'd be joining us next season after they were goading us after sending us down last year.

Wigan are on a hiding to nothing and certainly on borrowed time. They keep doing nothing until the second half of the season, then putting a Herculean effort and staying up. It can't go on forever....

They keep doing nothing until the second half of the season, then putting a Herculean effort and staying up. It can't go on forever.... I see them staying up again this season though and if they do they'll have the extra TV revenue which makes staying in the Premiership easier for them and gives them an unfair advantage over teams coming up from the Championship. Would be interesting to see how they'd cope without Martinez who imo lacks ambition, he's had plenty of offers from bigger clubs, why would he want to stay at Wigan for relegation battles every season?

Whilst I think they will stay up this season, like I said it is only a matter of time, there hasn't been any progress, just battling relegation each year. Agree with your point about Martinez as well, he's worked wonders there, and as we know all too well, managerial appointments are crucial...
T4E Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Why in Earth is Niall Quinn commentating on Newcastle vs Sunderland? Sky have absolutely no shame.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 14, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted April 14, 2013 Why in Earth is Niall Quinn commentating on Newcastle vs Sunderland? Sky have absolutely no shame. Almost as bad as when we had Wolves away earlier in the season, Don Goodman on commentary, Matt Murray in the studio, felt like Wolves TV....
Stuart Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Why in Earth is Niall Quinn commentating on Newcastle vs Sunderland? Sky have absolutely no shame.+1Tried to give a penalty against Newcastle when the player had his arm by his side!
Backroom Tom Posted April 14, 2013 Backroom Posted April 14, 2013 Almost as bad as when we had Wolves away earlier in the season, Don Goodman on commentary, Matt Murray in the studio, felt like Wolves TV.... Ah when Rochina conned the defender into fouling him
Stuart Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Linesman robs Newcastle of an equaliser. Onside and with the line of the 6 yard box in front of him, still mucked it up. Definite handball penalty appeal turned down for Mackems. Two wrongs and all that...
Backroom Tom Posted April 14, 2013 Backroom Posted April 14, 2013 Anyone else think Di Canio is slightly over egging the celebrations? Seems somehow forced I do like characters in the game though
Stuart Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 There's no such thing as "onside"!!Good post. Anyone else think Di Canio is slightly over egging the celebrations? Seems somehow forced I do like characters in the game though I honestly think it's just the way he's built. His passion will probably keep them up.EDIT: Take a boo son
Backroom Tom Posted April 14, 2013 Backroom Posted April 14, 2013 Yeh I was being super picky that's why I removed the post you bugger
arbitro Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Stoke one down at half time to Man Utd. Could we possibly be seeing Roberts, Samba, Hoilett and N'Zonzi at Ewood next season (assuming we stay up)?
rovers11 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 This Stoke performance is how Rovers have played all season. Hopeless long balls to the strikers, giving the ball away in midfield and no passion or desire to win the ball back.
Waggy76 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 After Sunderlands win today , it is looking like Wigan wil go down to me .. An FA cup final , could well distract their players more than it should do ..
