So glad, can't stick Pardew!!

I wonder how many of them Sunderland fans who said they didn't want di Canio to be their manager have changed their mind now!!! He's just mental. I was thinking though that if he had become Rovers manager then he'd be the most normal thing about us!

DiCanio brought some Italians in as his assistance. Got to admit, I think Italians could have a good, maybe organic understanding of the game and see this as a nut they can crack, Sunderland may move up, Everton next but conceivably, Stoke or another club could become a part of the mix at the bottom of the table.

I think the threshold to stay up this year, could be something like 41 or even 42 points which has happened before.

Another huge game with the outcome heavily influenced by sub standard officiating

There is no doubt that City should have been down to 9 men and Chelsea should have had a late penalty

It's just not good enough

Shocker by Aguero. Why do these brilliant players need to do this sort of thing? Made worse by that fact that the dozy officials miss them.

Should get a 3 match ban. But won't.

Pardew before it was disallowed hahaha.

You'd fancy Di Canio to tw_t him one and put him on his arse if he carried on like that.

West Ham played a good game tonight, high tempo, aggressive, in United's faces for 90 minutes and with no little skill and finesse. Just like watching Rovers two or three ago. Well done Sam.

You might get over it, I don't think Rovers will.

Managers come and go. Yes, the world and his dog know we should've kept Sam, but we didn't. Life sucks, boo-hoo, move on.

Daily Mail journo

@Ian_Ladyman_DM: So finally Sam Allardyce gets recognition for substance and occasional style. Have people finally opened their eyes to this? #entertainment

Fully agree with him. About bloody time too. Bolton played some terrific stuff in his final 2 years there (as did we -Under Sam- in that dreaded 'Kean in' season). With a club like WestHam (Olympic Stadium and immense youth set-up), he may even get them into the heady heights of Europa League or Champion's League. G'wan Sam!

Thought WHU were very good last night, I've been impressed with Diame every time I've seen him play for them, very good signing from the pie-munchers.

Ferguson saying Carroll should have been sent off for the collision with De Gea, it's about as ridiculous as saying Ashley Williams 'could have killed' Van Persie when he booted the ball at his head!!

It looks like this is probably going to be the year Wigan finally take the drop. Have to say its about time, they've done nothing but flirt with relegation for years. It had to come eventually.

And if we stay up, Wigan come down an Bolton stay down there will be a plethora of local derbies next season. On the down side a long trip to Bournemouth beckons.
