Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 "It is not in my nature to react that way. I normally try to be tranquil on the pitch." Suarez's comments after the biting incident......at Ajax.

thenodrog Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Just a comment and not intended as a defence but if Ivanovic's arm had not been in his face he couldn't have bitten it could he? And if other centre forwards adopted that tactic then the godawful Ryan Shawcross should have arms like Oscar Pistorius's legs by now! As it is no doubt they'll both have to have an aids test.
Stuart Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 Just a comment and not intended as a defence but if Ivanovic's arm had not been in his face he couldn't have bitten it could he? Have you seen it? He had to go well out of his way to gnaw at Ivanovic's arm!
Paul Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I haven't watched any PL football this season. I know Utd are well ahead as Radio 4 tells me this and QPR will go down. Beyond that I've no idea. Now I've just watched the BBC news. Suarez? Hmmmm. If the FA had any balls at all he would be banned from English football for life. The man is a disgusting sh!t Anyone read the Suarez statement? Somehow I don't think he could actually put that many words together unless assisted by an infinite number of monkeys and typewriters. In reality he will get 8-10 game ban and life will go on.
Backroom DE. Posted April 21, 2013 Backroom Posted April 21, 2013 As Salgado Is A Hero noted a few posts ago, he said similar after he did it at Ajax. Something isn't right in his head, no amount of apologies will change that. You could say biting will never cause any serious damage... But stuff like this will. The lad's unstable.
JAL Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 What an excellent goal Liverpools first was today top class.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 As Salgado Is A Hero noted a few posts ago, he said similar after he did it at Ajax. Something isn't right in his head, no amount of apologies will change that. You could say biting will never cause any serious damage... But stuff like this will. The lad's unstable. That's horrendous. Yea the first thing that came to mind today was him obviously having a screw loose. I'm struggling to see why he was even annoyed with Ivanovic. Did something happen between them earlier or is it just because he gave the penalty away?
Audax Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I've read most of the posts and if not mentioned, he had a tiff playing for the Uruguay National Team a few months ago as well: MONTEVIDEO (Reuters) - The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) havepromised to staunchly defend Luis Suarez after FIFA launched a probeinto allegations that he had punched a Chilean opponent during a SouthAmerican World Cup qualifier last month. Argentine referee NestorPitana missed the incident during Chile's 2-0 victory in Santiago onMarch 26 when forward Suarez and Gonzalo Jara tussled in the penaltyarea at a corner. http://au.sports.yahoo.com/news/article/-/16691513/uruguay-back-persecuted-suarez-in-punch-probe/ I once thought there was a chance he could be like a villain like Maradona was villain, Suarez hand blocked that ball at South Africa vs. Ghana. But no, these are acts of a nut and what a pity, seeing how he is among the best players in the world and helped bring Uruguay to be one of the best national teams in the world. Out of control.
thenodrog Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Have you seen it? He had to go well out of his way to gnaw at Ivanovic's arm! I have seen it now from the camera's on the other side and all I can offer is that no one can defend the indefensible. Suarez is prob the result of liberal parents who punished biting, kicking and screaming tantrums with a forgiving smile and a lollipop. Personally I'm surprised ... no amazed that Ivanovic didn't give him a left hook to the side of his head.... I'm sure most would do. Andy Todd's reaction in the same situation would have been good value I'm sure. Large fine from both FA and club and a lengthy ban from the start of next season wherever he ends up has to be the punishment..... plus 20% for that fake limp when he knew he was fooked. That limp was almost as funny as NUFC's Stephen Taylor 'I've been shot' reaction to a handball decision a few years back. Having said that his all round performance was brilliant.... as usual. That's horrendous. Yea the first thing that came to mind today was him obviously having a screw loose. I'm struggling to see why he was even annoyed with Ivanovic. Did something happen between them earlier or is it just because he gave the penalty away? MoTD highlighted all the incidents between the two and there were no real issues or incidents beforehand. Completely out of the blue and unprovoked.
LeChuck Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Suarez is prob the result of liberal parents. You're comedy gold sometimes.
thenodrog Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Thanks. I should probably have included weak teaching staff at nursery school too. Ages 2-4 is generally when biting is eradicated.
jim mk2 Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 You're comedy gold sometimes. Funny or pathetic ?
ABBEY Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 liverpool are respected around the world and suarez is the victim in this and his competeviness has to be admired.Paisley would have smiled about it. You couldnt make it up. Liverpool shouldnt be suspending him he needs some sort of understanding. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/liverpool/8665185/fairclough-selling-suarez-'extreme
Stuart Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 "For my unacceptable behaviour yesterday the club has fined me today, I have asked the club to donate money to the Hillsborough Family Support Group for the inconvenience I have created to the Liverpool fans and to Ivanovich." He's asked the club to donate money to the charity? So he gets fined and he sticks a guilt trip on the club to donate? Presumably in some attempt to garner sympathy and make out that he's a good guy. Unbelievable. I bet the FA do nothing...

LeChuck Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Funny or pathetic ? Borderline genius. Only theno could sneak a dig at the liberal left into this scenario. Offspring of liberal parents are well known for biting people of course.
JAL Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Cant help but feel that Suares has done this deliberately to prempt a move away from England this summer.

LeChuck Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Cant help but feel that Suares has done this deliberately to prempt a move away from England this summer. I think that's crediting him with too much intelligence. He's a basket case, you could see the penalty incident had flipped something in his brain because he was just walking round jabbering away to himself with a look of disgust on his face.
