Backroom DE. Posted April 29, 2013 Backroom Posted April 29, 2013 De Gea will go on to prove a lot of doubters wrong. He's a very good keeper at present and at such a young age will only improve. By the time he hits his mid to late-20's he will be immense.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 29, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted April 29, 2013 Honest 'Arry saying in the media that he never had time to build his own team! Did I imagine him spunking tons of money on daft signings and loanees in January??
thenodrog Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Personally if I was a QPR fan I'd want him on his way. His demeanour at the final whistle was unbelievable. He looked like he couldn't have cared less and was just 'avin a larf' about it all whilst all the while the QPR fans looked distraught.
1864roverite Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Hahahahahahahahahaahaha Hoilett, lazy good for nothing greedy @#/? !
Rover95 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I'm delighted that QPR were relegated - mainly because of Hoilett and especially Samba . Both believed they were too good for us. Lets see how they manage next season . Mind you , knowing Samba he'll be touting himself around for another lucrative move. Greed - pure greed
Guest Norbert Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Personally if I was a QPR fan I'd want him on his way. His demeanour at the final whistle was unbelievable. He looked like he couldn't have cared less and was just 'avin a larf' about it all whilst all the while the QPR fans looked distraught. I noticed that too. Most managers look really upset when their team goes down. I bet even Kean looked at least a bit concerned (though practically every mental image of him has been removed from my mind). Not Harry, he was laughing all the way to his offshore bank. Fernandez looked like he'd just shat a brick and was very worried about the future.
Backroom DE. Posted April 29, 2013 Backroom Posted April 29, 2013 Villa's resounding victory tonight pretty much seals Wigan's relegation IMO. They're 5 points behind with 4 games left, which isn't insurmountable, but I just can't see them getting the points required now.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Wigan's next two fixtures are against West Brom away and Swansea at home. But then they have Arsenal away before home to Villa on the final day. 6-1 now. Villa still have Chelsea at home and that Wigan game but their next game is away at Norwich. You'd think Wigan are going down but I say that every year. So I'll just wait and see. Hopefully it's Newcastle though, that would be hilarious.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 That's two games against teams with not a lot to play for ( West Brom and Swansea ). The fly in the ointment for Wigan is the distraction of the cup final.
Stuart Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 That's two games against teams with not a lot to play for ( West Brom and Swansea ). The fly in the ointment for Wigan is the distraction of the cup final. It's a sad indictment of the current game though that the FA Cup Final plays second fiddle to 17th in the top flight. Football is upside down.
Philly13 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I've been rooting for Villa this year just because I'm a huge Lambert fan. He's such a good manager. He took a squad from league one to the prem then stayed up comfortably with Norwich, then this year he took a team that finished sixteenth the year before and has them in the same spot despite bringing in the youngest team in the league and having to cut the wage bill. His unconventional recruitment methods (lower leagues and unknown foreign players) have been very efficient. It's also very good for us that Villa should now stay up, because with Lambert as manager and a squad that was assembled from the lower leagues much of it would've stayed together. They would've been overwhelming favorites to go straight back up.
CapeTownRover Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 its not just Redknapp who took the @#/? at the end. i didnt see one QPR player who looked sad at seeing them relegated, and to me that is disgusting. Readings players were not much better, but at least they were not a bunch of over paid players who thought they could buy their way to success.

QPR's "team" are by and large just a collection of overpaid, under-talented mercenaries. No surprise to see them go down, there's no team there, just a bunch of individuals who think they're much better than they are.
LeChuck Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Why should there have been any emotion from Reading/QPR players? They were both relegated already. Not sure Bosingwa should have been laughing but I wouldn't have expected any of them to look upset.

roverandout Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 look at that house? makes you mad when normal hard working people have to graft like hell and these keans are doing sod all for their money
thenodrog Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 That's two games against teams with not a lot to play for ( West Brom and Swansea ). The fly in the ointment for Wigan is the distraction of the cup final. Shades of Portsmouth. Just relegated to the 4th level. Their FA joy didn't last long did it? Without the false finance of wealthy 'idiots with a death wish' every club will find it's own level sooner or later won't it? No club can defy gravity for long. Recent examples set by Pompey, BRFC, Derby, Wolves, Darlo etc just go to prove that 'Form is temporary but situation is permanent'. All clubs are where they are because they deserve to be. Be honest can anybody see Morecambe playing in the Football league in 10 years or so?
Guest Norbert Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Villa are becoming the turd that just won't flush away.
thenodrog Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 look at that house? makes you mad when normal hard working people have to graft like hell and these keans are doing sod all for their money Very nice house. I'll bet when he bought it that he thought the sauna was for preparing 'smokies'. Villa are becoming the turd that just won't flush away. Everton were just like that before Moyes weren't they?

thenodrog Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Defeatist small-town mentality. Pathetic really. Pathetic? Head in the sand opinion like yours is what really is pathetic. I believe what I said was very accurate sadly. Town clubs have no future at the top level of English football. Without Jack Walker how many years do you think we would have had in the Prem? How do you think Ewood would look? How many trophies would we have to show? The players would still be training down Pleasi ffs and we'd never have seen the likes of Shearer, Tugay, Hendry, Sherwood etc etc. There are no more Jack Walker's Jim and if there were they would not be allowed to fund us as he did. Jim you provide only continual criticism and never forward a valid argument to the alternative. You will not help your case byusing vapid comment in an attempt to shoot the messenger.
LeChuck Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Very accurate sadly. Town clubs have no future at the top level of English football. That's not true at all. Try creating a list of 20 clubs to be in the PL without using any successful town clubs.
