Chris Samba has gone back to Anzhi in a £12m deal.

This guy seriously just follows the money rather than making moves for the good of his career. Once was a cult hero, now i seriously dislike him.

Samba's reputation has taken a massive hit in coming back to the Prem. Didn't even look half the player he was.

I agree. It seems he has lost his head and his heart since he left us. A shadow of the all action, imposing beast he was for us. I doubt he'll get it back, and he'll fade away from the minds of those in the bigger leagues.

Joe Kinnear is at it again.

"I’ve been a manager for 35 years. I’ve been Manager of the Year. I’ve won every award there is in football as a player. I think all those qualities put me head and shoulders above every other director of football.”

Could be quite a fun season up in the north east with Kinnear and Di Canio in the media every 5 minutes.

He also claimed to have been at newcastle for two years when it was 5 months.

Tony Cascarino would have been more at home tackling a colouring book then trying to participate in that conversation. Jim White really is an arse as well, but we already knew that.

It's an achievement for Tony when he completes a sentence, let alone attempting a debate. You can see him desperately trying to comprehend what Syed is saying and it all going right over his empty head.

Ahead of Baldini Joe? The next Tyne/Wear derby will be highly amusing for the neutrals. I never knew that Kinnear won the European Cup, or leading such giants such as Luton Town and Nepal. I mean where the hell are Roma, Real Madrid and England by comparasion? I think the media have their new Shebby Singh comedy character now.

P.S. Just watched the SSN clip with Mathew Syed. Amazing how much 3 people can completely miss the point when an intelligent and articulate man fires a few torpedoes of truth. That comment from the woman about Chelsea making the Premier League was positively cretinous. I could have sworn the likes of Zola and Bergkamp had nowt to do with Ambramovich's billions.

Seems like Arouna Kone is on his way to Everton. He is a good player no doubt but is he really good enough for Everton. I think Martinez is taking a gamble by signing players from the ex-club. If they fail it can turn back big time for Martinez. Fiorentina are big club enough to sign Gomez from Bayern. Toffees should chase few top players like him instead of bringing Kone in.

Handbag now has a pointless job. He's now Man Citeh's U-18 manager.

Not sure Mathew Syed will get too many more appearances on the SEM Sports network. Like Stuart said, his comments were not welcome. Especially those relating to how Abramovich got his billions, and how the word 'investment' is often inaccurate.

Don't know about children but I saw a bunch of Skyem Sports folks in a panic, scrambling to defend their "product". Cringeworthy.

Jim White.

I wish they'd had the camera on White's face as Syed was chucking truth grenades all over the place... "noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" ....

I loved the "who cares that he's a massive crook? He's bought players like Drogba to our league. And he's a huge Chelsea fan now." line they were pushing. It's like that Paddy Power advert........

What about the Joe Kinnear outburst in the Sun that he is the best director of football in the PL spouts more crap than Shebby, in fact he is Shebby in disguise, Newcastle fans you will get to know how we feel very very shortly.

I heard that too, and I think I posted something on the previous page. Kinnear seems to be a combination of Shebby Singh and Steve Kean since he took over that role. i can see it all imploding again, as their better French players will get annoyed at JFK mispronouncing their names, shouting "Agincourt" at them in training and trying to make them play a rigid 4-4-2 against Pardoo's advice.

Only the natural skill of these players can overt another meltdown at St. James Park (or whatever it is called nowadays).

I've been scoffing at the widespread and inaccurate use of that in football ownership for years.

I heard that too, and I think I posted something on the previous page. Kinnear seems to be a combination of Shebby Singh, Steve Kean and an Alzheimers sufferer since he took over that role.

And I'm not kidding.

Well, having a grandad who has suffered dementia for many years it does look something like that. I lived in Asia for a bit, and once he turned to me and asked if he's ever been there (he had visited for a couple of weeks).

I'm no expert in these matters, but if Kinnear is not just bigging himself up and believes what he says (especially the bit about being Nepal coach), I would be worried for him. If he knows he's exaggerating and getting angry then he's a tit.
